hospitals but were not badly hurt. nearly a dozen told trucks were on the scene to help pull apart the wrecked vehicles. it took several hours to clean up the fuel that spilled onto the highway. a powerful line of squalls swept across south florida. on i-95, it left a trail of damage. downed trees, power lines and highway signs litter the road. the debris stalled traffic from palm beach county to miami- de twteusers reported tornado sightings, but the national weather service has not confirmed any touchdowns. i think we all saw some rough weather this morning. >> we did. >> we did not see anything like that but we had our share of rough weather. >> yes. two days in a row. and has going to be it for the week it looks like. minus a little bit of rain overnight tonight which should not be too much of a big deal. of course, we had some squalls of our own that came through this morning. we had several thunderstorm warnings. here's what it looks like, coming across the tall tower camera, those clouds are pumping against the camera

here in the last few minutes, we are starting to see a little bit more blue and quiet conditions. look at that. isn't that looking lovely? especially when you take a look at what the temperatures are. fantasticks, 64 degrees. remember we started this cold snap that lasted five or six days, between the middle of last week, really. and finally, temperatures are getting close to normal and with all of the sunshine, we should climb up to nearly 60 degrees. of course, mikaya thurmond without showing us that tree that fell on the house and buildings, we had a number of reports of trees down, power outages, now quiet weather. the winds have died down, westwind at 7 miles per hour. a little bit breezy but nothing dangerous this afternoon. it's beginning to dry out, you can tell from the dewpoint, 43.

50s, the lower the number goes, the dryer it is. starting to be a pretty nice out there. 59 fayetteville, 69 clinton, 63 goldsboro, 52 in roxboro. last check, greensboro during the morning news, temperatures were still in the 30s. some of that warmer air beginning to push westward but we are going to have a tougher time warming up. look at that, what a difference. 25 to more than 30 degrees warmer than it was yesterday. but you know, at lunchtime yesterday, we were just in the upper 20s. still trying to warm up from some of the ice and sleet and freezing rain that we saw yesterday. this is a look at the current wind speeds out of the southeast, 15 in roxboro and rocky mount, 15 in goldsboro, it's still a little breezy, but again, nothing dangerous. we still have a little bit of cloud cover. there goes our squall line the created wind damage with the trees down and power outages early this morning. we are starting to see a little bit of clearing. we will see more sunshine through the afternoon as the system pushes away from us. enjoy the nice bright

disturbance that will roll through tonight to bring us some rain. yes, there is a little wintry precipitation with that double as it moves into our area this evening, it is just not going to be cold enough for any of that wintry precipitation. let's watch the timing. right after lunchtime, still some clouds but lots of sun through the afternoon and clear skies through the evening. snow into the mountains, and midnight. there still may be lingering the commute tomorrow, and gradual clearing to lunchtime. is pretty similar to today minus the heavy rain. just a few patchy showers in the morning. wednesday, the rest of the day tomorrow looks fantastic. we will have some colder air that rosen thursday along with a front and then temperatures warm right back up for the weekend.

a few showers overnight. 56 tomorrow, and then thursday. we start chilly at 32 degrees but plenty of sunshine. we will have a dry cold front that comes through with cooler temperatures behind it, hence the 50 degrees. than a rebound friday into saturday and sunday, look at that. 66 degrees. it has been a while since we have had temperatures above normal, but we get to see that both days over the weekend. 66 is the forecast saturday, 69 sunday. 75 is the record highs saturday, 26 is the coldest high temperature. we almost saw that yesterday. it's amazing the changes that we can see over a short period of time in the area. 60s? nice, nice. >> goodness. elizabeth deserves a vacation. >> thank you, bill. are you going to do the weather for me tomorrow? >> tune in for that.
