or the universe or something like that. >> what gave you this idea? >> we are an amateur brass band from the uk. all of the players in the band are immature. but, there is a big vibrant scene, not just in the uk but across europe and indeed the world. and we are fortunate to be the number one ranked brass band in the wod. one of the activities which we try to do is to her around the world. so, we last went to australia in 2013. and it has actually been 40 years since the cory band has been anywhere in the u.s. at all. it is a good time to come over to the u.s. and play here in 2016. >> we're talking about brass band. are you able to attract younger ages? what is the typical age range for your concerts? >> in the audience? yeah, i mean, all ages come to our concerts. the traditional audience in the uk tends to be more the experienced and, shall we say. but i understand we've got a lot of high school students in for tonight's concert, and they

>> fantastic. i think we have some video here of your performance, enter the galaxies, from the 2009 concert. is that what this is right here? >> not this one. i think that was the prior one, but something like that. >> okay, this is the video, enter the galaxies. how much work goes into a big production like this? >> a lot of work. all of the players have their own day jobs, which they do 9:00 to 5:00, monday through friday. and then we rehearsed to evening tonight in wales and usually do a concert on the weekends. but the players are practicing and practicing and practicing hard. a lot of man-hours goes into a show like this. >> sure. the number one brass band in the world here in raleigh. what drew you to raleigh? >> there is a fantastic brass band in raleigh, the triangle brass band. we are delighted that they

that. it's starting to actually get results now, even more so that it is not as expensive. you get it near the employer that you are trying to get interest in on the highway as people drive-by. it easier. >> here is one where you have to wait a few months to do it, but a holiday lights show? >> lights are on sale right now, get ready for christmas. we know that great light shows get the attention of the news. and different places like that. it's rare, but people have done this where it will say, "hire me." and it will have their contact information. people drive-by, and some people even said that is how they got their dream job. >> let's maybe tone it down just a little. how about a video resume? would that be a good idea? >> we want to give our viewers something that they believe they can do, now with video

many free methods now that we can use with resources that we have to get noticed. many individuals, i suggest, make a youtube video of your self up why you are the right candidate. why someone should hire you. make it no more than five minutes. another thing you can do with youtube, make your channel, is that you can have a friend, a spouse, whoever, dress-up professional, have them focus the camera on you, and interview you. make sure you hit those key questions that the employers in the market that you are looking for will tune in for, so that you never know who might find you. >> what about advertising online? >> so, we are using online for so many things socially. why not again use it to look for getting a job? we want to look for r fa. it ipele taly lations e

[ laughter ] well, speaking of that, what a great afternoon for running, walking, whatever you do. we have been cooped up for so many days with cool temperatures and nasty weather that we have had on and off. finally some improvement. there's a look on the satellite picture, this is high- resolution satellite which does a great job of showing is where the clouds are, and where they are starting to thin out. certainly a messy morning, but you can see how skies are clearing out a little bit. still some cloud cover, especially wake county eastward. a lot of holes in the clouds, thicker among the i-95 corridor but to the west, tons of sunshine coming our way. those clouds continue to push offshore and we're looking at a beautiful afternoon with temperatures above normal. normals are mid 50s this time of year, 60 this afternoon. looking west across downtown durham, not a cloud in the sky that way. if we swivel the camera around and look eastward, some cloud cover.

and it looks beautiful. way back into boone, they are still stuck in winter. a disturbance will come through their late this evening. they will see snow out of that. we will see rain here because our temperatures are not close enough for anything frozen. 54 raleigh, 58 afl. it is 63 in wilmington, 61 in greenville, 57 elizabeth city. our air is coming from down here continuing to push warm air up into the region. timing, watch that trend by the came through this morning, producing wind damage, knocking down trees. and you see those counties that flashed by in yellow? that is where we have the severe thunderstorm warnings, everything from wake county all the way to pitt county north carolina which is where greenville is. a lot of our counties in the eastern part of the viewing area went under those warnings. and we did have lots of trees down with this. all of the precipitation is over now, except for this last

will roll through this evening and overnight tonight. bringing us a chance of showers in the morning. here we are at 1:00 with that last little band of cloud cover that moves on out. beautiful afternoon and a clear evening. and then some snow starts to develop around boone, they will see snow out of this but as it moves eastward into this warmer air, we will see cloud cover and some showers, that those clouds will dissipate pretty quickly tomorrow morning. and after that, high pressure builds in. we are going to have some pleasant weather, especially compared to what we have seen lately. 58 this afternoon, 56 tomorrow. we do have that front that we talked about a half hour ago, but we have a cool front that comes through, it will be dry, not producing precipitation backdrops our temperature down to about 50 degrees. tomorrow morning, we do have a chance of showers during the morning commute, but a very slim chance, about 20% chance. tomorrow morning, we will finally be quiet after monday morning with sleet and freezing

severe weather, looking at quiet temperatures which will be nice to see. heading into the weekend, gorgeous. temperatures 10 degrees above normal saturday and sunday. warning goes into the 40s, monday will be the next best chance of seeing precipitation once we get past tonight and early tomorrow morning. not a bad looking 7-day forecast compared to the one we looked at a week ago today. >> good point, thanks. americans love to collect things. from posters to cars to giant past presidents. >> coming up, we explain how this man came into this unusual collection. >> how about a pet collection?
