this -- appeared on twitter. the man says the $10 million spent for the visit should go to education, health and employment. but millions of others disagree. and have embraced the pope at every turn. adriana diaz, cbs news, mexico city. >> and for those who cannot make it to juarez, for the mass, there will be a simulcast, at the stadium on the u.s. side of the border. drug king pin joaquin el chapo guzman is not happy with he says prison guards are turning him into a zombie. guzman says they wake him up every two hours, to take roll, analhwants to do is sleep. since authorities recaptured him last month, guzman has been at a prison in central mexico. he broke out of that same facility in july. after taking advantage of a blind spot on a camera. the prison has 400 new cameras and plans to install another 600 by april. nevada rancher cliven bundy must remain behind bars. a judge denied his bail,

community. bundy was arrested in portland, oregon last week on charges stemming from a 14 armed standoff with federal officials. his two sons were arrested last month, for leading a group that occupied a national refuge and protest over federal land policies. residents and government officials in flint, michigan, know that their water is undrinkable. it has been for a while. but a new study shows they also paid the highest rates in the nation for that toxic water. the survey looked at the 500 largest water systems in the country. it found flint residents paid about $864 a year, for water service, and that is nearly double the national average. no word on the cause of an early morning fire yet, a fire that destroyed a church in dallas. and the fire rescue says it was too dangerous for firefighters to battle the fire inside. and they did stop it from door. the nation's top emergency management official will be in chapel hill.

will speak about the future of addressing threats from severe weather and other disaster. his lecture will focus on current weather dangers, as well as those emerging as a result of climate change. and the speech is at 4:30 this hall. >> a timely speech. we are getting close to that time when we have all of this and tornadoes. a big part of the story. >> and hurricanes after that. it looks like the el nino, that is really protecting us last year, from having a whole lot of hurricane activity, will start to weaken, and that could allow things to get more interesting. so something to keep an eye on, certainly timely. around here, nothing to worry about. we actually had a few clouds and some showers this morning. but things have really turned out to be nice this afternoon. let's start off with a look at the roxboro skycam. this is from this morning, it is one of the time lapses, you can see the clouds there, and it is a beautiful, beautiful morning. and you can see, the sun

and as we take a look now at the current view, a very beautiful day, with not a cloud in the sky. over roxboro, at this point. it looks like we will continue to stay sunny for the rest of this afternoon. and that will eventually have a moderating effect on our temperatures as well. satellite and radar, the view backs it up with some clouds and a few showers, but those have dissipated and they have moved out of the area. it looks like plenty of sunshine for the rest of the day today, and the temperatures are a little cooler than yesterday, but still in the general ballpark, of really nice for this time of the year. and 54 at the tv station in west raleigh and looking at 54 in durham as well. and 48 in roxboro, and still saw that a few years ago, lewisburg at 50. 52 in carrboro. as we look town by town to the south, 55 in fayetteville. laurenburg is 56. 52 in southern pines. and 52 right now in hillsboro. overall, a very beautiful, beautiful day. it looks like we will have more beautiful days to enjoy over the next little bit. you can see, the sort of the u- shape in the clouds, as we sort

follow the clouds. we have a trough of low pressure, in the upper levels of the atmosphere, and it is going to be rather persistent. it will keep us from seeing any warmup, just go completely crazy. but the temperatures this weekend, they will look good in spite of that. and we have a couple of disturbances coming by but at this point we are not worried about any precipitation in our forecast. over the next couple of days. as a matter of fact, the future cast, it keeps us generally quiet, through the afternoon, and just a few high clouds passing by. from time to time. and that is all we will have to worry about. through this afternoon. into this evening, again, a few clouds here and there. but we should be dry. and a little less cold than we have been over the last couple of days. and rolling on through the day tomorrow, quiet weather as well. and we endured plenty of sunshine. and temperatures are a little cooler tomorrow. with the reinforcing shot of some cooler air, it sneaks in, overnight tonight, and then it will help cool us off for the day tomorrow. and for a couple of days, and after that, we have a pretty nice warmup in store and we will talk more in detail about

-- warmup coming up in the next half hour. for today, looking fantastic. partly cloudy skies. trending toward sunny for the better part of the afternoon. 52 in the triangle. 52 in durham. still cool along the north carolina/virginia line but otherwise a pretty nice day. after that, things really start to shape up. tomorrow, the reinforcing shot of cooler air. chilly in the morning. afternoon. that is below normal. still below normal for the day on friday. with plenty of sunshine. notice things really start to warm up, we will talk in detail about why we will see the temperatures warming up on saturday and sunday. and then, we have winner that comes back. with temperature -- winter that comes back. with temperatures coming back down through the beginning part of next week. this weekend is looking fantastic. we will see more clouds during the day on sunday, and can't rule out the chance for a little bit of rain sunday afternoon but with a high of 66, we don't have to worry about any frozing precipitation. >> yeah. >> on sunday. >> finally.
