we have not been below freezing for over 72 hours here. i think we will do it tonight. the humidity is at 61% and the pressure is fairly high. and we will look at some temperatures. 28 at lewisburg. everyone else is 30 or slightly higher. temperatures are mostly in the 30s with that 28-degree reading at sanford. and we will prodding the view and look at the high temperatures. look at this big chunk of high temperatures. even a couple of reports of 90- degree readings in cans today which is a little bit unusual for late february but for all of the stations we have chosen here, none have high temperatures below freezing. winter was as nasty as it was

at least for now. patchy snow over the upper great lakes. and this system here is going to be moving across the northern united states with no concern to us. and what we are looking at is over the pacific. we've got quite a bit of time to look at that. let's look at the ensemble forecast of precipitation. and the priest - - projected freezing lines. these are 21 different ensemble members to give you an idea of the uncertainty levels. we start off monday at 1:00 with a chance of light precipitation already. and you look at this and say okay, three numbers for threes that - thursday morning. you have to be objective. three say it is cold enough and 18 say it is not.

then you see those lines retreats. one batch will max out on tuesday. and anyone forms in georgia. at that time we only have one number saying it is cold enough for anything frozen. later in the week as this pulls away, we have mo of these lines in here. does that mean we could see a flurry or two? yes. and loud and clear it is telling us the chance of seeing something substantially frozen is not terribly high. colder and down to 27 and after a chilly start, temperatures are comparable to what we saw with temperatures in the lower 50s. more cloud cover, and boy is it going to warm up.
