leading to the special session. joining us is dr. david mc clennon. bus say time for you, let's talk about the maps, when will they go in to effect. >> if they stand up to scrutinies in to effect this election cycle, the primary. congressional maps could take affect in june, if that law goes in to effect, this election cycle, so people need to get used to them quick. >> primary voting is underway in the state. what if you already voted? >> that's the confusing part, 16,000 ballots come ins absentee ballots, to the new maps and the new dates, those will be thrown out, the state board of elections will go to the voters and say try again. >> we are scheduled for two in the spring. >> we get a turnout the first time, that tts presidential primary, bringing in everybody, seeing the candidates many

races, the second primary will tend to draw fewer voters. that's the question, because candidates will be confused too. come campaigning in the current districts. it's the voters and the candidates that have a lot of questions. >> the candidates with better mobilization, or ground work. >> money will matter more. that allows them to get out their message. the people that rely on grass roots campaigning. >> how will this effect the elections after the election. going forward, they could be redrawn again. as we have seen, when the party changes in power, the maps change. >> there are other lawsuits in the court system. we have lots of issues in north carolina, i think it's, we are in a decade of chaos. the next maps drawn in 2021, hopefully we won't have too many maps between now and then, it affects voters and who
