now, the police say five men are responsible for a series of drive-by shootings. four of them are in custody tonight. the police say they are all involved in gangs. range in age from 18-23. the investigators say they are connected to shootings on february 6th, 17th, and 18th. injured two people. if you know where he is, call rocky mountain police. >> a mother and son found dead inside of the home after a strangulation. christie and her 3-year-old son died december 11th.

had burns on more than 70% of their body and both were strangled with zip ties, bryans was ruled sued. her son's death was a homicide. the boy's twin brother was in another room of the home and survived the fire. her husband and older child were not at home at the time. a man out on bond on rape is back in jail tonight charged with another sex crime. they say the victim was a 22- year-old acquaintance. the 33-year-old suspect is charged with rape, kidnapping and assaulting a female. his bond is half a million. discouraging news for north carolina schools, the overall crime rate went up 1.5% from the 2013-2014 school year from the year before. a 6% increase. the drop out rate increased 4.8% touring the same time period. the same thing they will talk about it at the meeting next week.
