no one is surprised that they confirmed it was a tornado that touched down. just one look at the trees that had been sheered off. particularly, a dairy farm. two silos destroyed. equipment tossed around. roofs blown off houses. no one was hurt, and none of the animals at this dairy farm were hurt as well. it's really quite amazing. it's all about cleanup in the area today. you've got a lot of people showing up and offering to help one another out. i talked to the dairy farmer here, and he says he's thankful. this farm has been in his family since 1943. these kinds of things happen, and you pick up and move on.

yes. especially getting into the weekend, it's so much nicer. a low pressure system funneling that air into the area. true for two or three days, and then we're getting into the warmup. pretty this afternoon. a mix of sun and clouds there. that tower on the left side of your screen. just a beautiful scene across the area. still a little bit breezy. low pressure system to the north. it's 53 in fayetteville. 56 in wilmington. 30 in boone right now. 3 to 5" of snow in higher elevations. it usually shuts down somewhere

sustained wind speed, 18 in fayetteville and 16 in raleigh. our gusts are anywhere from 25 to 33 and 34 miles an hour. it's still gusty. our wind advisory only has a little more than an hour left on it. we'll see if the weather service decides to expand it later on in the afternoon. probably not because we're not seeing any damage out of it. watch out the temperatures drop overnight for us. temperature at 52. we stay in the low to mid-50s for the area. finally, after sunset, temperatures begin to drop pretty quickly. 34 in fayetteville. a good 10 degrees colder than it was when you were heading

mid-40s by this afternoon. upper 40s to about 50 for tomorrow afternoon. then friday morning will be chilly temperatures in the morning, close to freezing. that low pressure system, we were talking about that. you can see the rotation around it. it will be cold for now. this cold air is going to stay put for the next several days. some warm air way down into the south, and eventually, it comes our way. it's going to be a little below normal. highs this time of year is upper 50s. mid-30s. these temperatures, back down to freezing. 56 this afternoon. 49 on friday, and 51 on sunday. we jump into the 60s. temperatures remain into the
