to reports -- 2 reports released today are giving us another look. i'm debra morgan. >> i'm jerry owens. the autopsy findings release in our 4:00 is. since then, a separate report detailing the deadly encounter. we have also just learned that the police chief met with the mother before the report was released. we have team coverage in the newsroom. we have been going through these reports closely. >> according to the report released by raleigh police today, the officer parked his cruiser right here on mango -- mangum street. dinkins had a warrant out for his arrest. he took off down west broad

south e street york according to the report, he cut through two of the homes right there. as the officer continued the chase, he slipped and fell on some new scrabble. he recovered and caught up with jenkins right behind the home and that is where all of the struggle happened between officer twitty and dinkins. second started to pull a handgun from his waistband. during the struggle, the officer pulled his weapon and fired multiple shots as he continued to move his gun in the other direction. the report says 20 -- he fired additional shots and collapsed and dropped his gun. and 20 call for assistance. according to an autopsy report

i have no problem with that. i agree. >> let's check out what's going on out there right now. nobody at the official reporting stations is reporting in a snow but we are beginning to see a bit of a resurgence in the precipitation activity over north sarah -- over north central carolina. not a dramatic change but over time, we see this area growing in the radar, the reason you see flew is that there is an algorithm or a program that the software is running where it is saying temperatures in the upper atmosphere are fairly cold and overall, it should support snow in that location. there is no substitute for looking at the actual observation at that location just reporting right now. but it certainly does at least raise the possibility of harder. it may change or mixed with snow

everything moves on to the east. that is the deal with that. let's take a look at temperatures above freezing everywhere. although, certainly flirting. not a long-term relationship but flirting. 33. 39 work and everyone southeast of here is 40s. we have no hope of seeing snow there. 49 at the airport right now with a north wind at five. we will actually be picking up later. the dew point, 37. that gives us a relative humidity of 94%. here's the bigger picture. you can see this access of showers and thunderstorms shifting to the coast. and appear across parts of the mid-atlantic states including southeast virginia and up toward southeast pennsylvania, that is where they are getting the more significant snow right now. and again, in our far northern west -- northwestern counties.

enough snow or hit the ground. here's a look at futurecast. again, raising the possibility of snow in our far northwestern counties over the next few hours. and notice by the time we get to 8 o'clock in the morning, everything has pushed onto the east. it is still cloudy. still a damp and cloudy misty feeling to it. but the precipitation of substance has moved by. by the time we get to lunch time, we start to see some of the cloud cover thinning out a little bit probably still mostly cloudy. of the time we get to mid to late afternoon, we are starting to see more substantial amounts of sunshine and that will make the 51 feel more comfortable. as we head into saturday, it looks like we will have a mixed bag of clouds & and there is one last disturbance coming in from the north and west. by 5 o'clock saturday, some rain showers across parts of west virginia and southwest virginia

few sprinkles or light rain showers overnight saturday night. not during the day saturday but in between and by the time we get to sunday, we will be back the sunshine and that long- awaited warm-up finally coming next week. we will see that reflected in a minute. overnight tonight, 36 degrees. rain continuing. and i think by the morning rush hour, most of us will be done with it. and tomorrow, we're looking for lots of clouds to start your maybe some leftover drizzle and light rain in the morning. increasing amounts of sunshine as we head into mid-to-late afternoon. saturday, a mixed bag of clouds and sun. a few sprinkles possible. back to partly sunny skies saturday -- sunday and finally, the ascension that everyone has been waiting for. getting us into the 60s and 70s next week. >> i want to move us into that.
