home on knights bridgeway. they saw smoke and fire, flames coming from the roof and took 30 firefighters a half an hour to knock down the flames. no one was hurts. train track is the focus of an investigation in to a derailment in kansas. ntsb wants to know if a crash may have damaged the track before the accident. engineer says he noticed a significant bend in the rail, applied the emergency brakes before the passenger train came off the tracks. 8 cars derailed, 32 passengers were hurt, two of them critically. a strange explanation from an uber driver accused of gunning down 6 people. dalton claims he was under the control of the uber app on his phone. a deputy approaches dalton after pulling him over in kalamazoo, michigan. investigators were on alet for the car after it was identified from one of three shooting scenes.

are 4000 registered voters at this particular polling location where we are in raleigh off of pool road. let's look at two of the main things you will needs to know as you head to the polls today. in the race for the senate, 4 democrats are running for the nomination to take on republican u.s. senator richard burr, in the general election. you have durham businessman kevin griffin, chris ray and earnest reefs from greenville and debra ross. and decide whether the state should borrow $2 billion to pay for repairing infrastructure around the state. this is something that the governor has been pushing for, it's called the nc connect bond. two-thirds of the money would go for new buildings or renovations at all of the university of north carolina system colleges and community college campuses, the rest would go for local government water and sewer projects and construction money for parks ,

>> over the air on 5.2 or 1255, the results as they explain what they mean to investigate north carolina voters. cumberland county sheriff's office decided not to file charges against donald trump after one of his supporters punched a protester. the hit was caught on camera at a raleigh in fayetteville. john mc graw was later charged in the case. investigators considered filing a charge of inciting a riot against trump or his campaign, how far since then the sheriff's office said evidence from the raleigh wouldn't support a conviction. trump's campaign issued the statement saying, it is the protesters and the agitators in violation, not mr. trump or the campaign. new overnight, three chicago police officers are being treated for gunshot wounds following a shootout with a suspected drug dealer. police say the shooting occurred as several officers were investigating drug activity the a neighborhood. when they announce thaird

the man turned and fired at the officers hitting them multiple times. the officers returned the fire killing that suspect. the officers injuries are not believed to be life threatening. police arrested the woman. a person is dead after a fight in fayetteville, this happened around 6:30 last night on cedar creek road. two family members were shot during an argument with an acquaintance. the victims were taken to the hospital where one died. the suspect is in custody. officers have not released any names. effort to rescue a missing volunteer firefighter is now a recovery effort. the fire chief in princeville says crews joined in the search for the man who disappeared while swimming with friends in the tar river. that was north of tarboro on sunday. edgecombe county sheriff says dive teams worked in water full of debris and unable to find the man. they used a borrowed drone this the search. we expect recovery teams to return to the river when the sun comes up.
