don't have the right i. d., your address isn't what you think it should be on the voter roll. >> you are at the wrong precinct. >> yes. it allows to cast a vote while that is worked out. there are roughly about 40,000 statewide this time p. that is a big jump from the last two presidential primary years. some of the things make sense. about a third of them are people who either aren't on the voter rolls or they couldn't be found on election day. >> and because of the voter i. d. law, is that why there are more this year. >> we thought maybe that would drive it up and it wasn't the case. what we saw more was people trying to vote in the wrong party. there were a lot of people in one party, maybe a democrat trying to vote in the republican primary or the republican trying to vote in the democratic frame.

excited about bernie sanders or got motivated to vote for donald trump. north carolina law doesn't allow if a really open primary. so you are kind of stuck in the primary where you're at. >> so what happens scene of the accident. >> well, a lot of counties, wake county is one of 15 across state that had to delay their day to deal with all of these provisional ballots. i visited the wake county warehouse this morning where people were hard at work checking the reasons why, going through all that paperwork. wake county will begin issue its canvass on thursday and count up the provisional ballots. about 14 other counties will do the same and the state will do its final reckoning next week. >> so it is important for people to know that the provisional ballots do count. >> they do count if you didn't do anything wrong. it f. it was truly a clerical error. sometimes if you come and vote out of precinct and a lot of elects, this is votes will still count. maybe some of the -- like your county commissioner, your house

still a southwest wind at 10. speaking of the gardens, we've got the pansies in bloom. there is some pink showing so our gardens are slowerly coming to life. i saw some folks strolling through the gardens with the way the weather has been with all the sunshine and milder temperatures. it will be a great place to visit. saturday looks like a great day with temperatures in the 60s. we had a low of 32 officially this morning at rdu. at 5:00, lots of frost across the area this morning. we warmed up nicely. the high was 66 so far. we are still holding at 66. 69 in fayetteville. 65 in wilmington. initially, high pressure was a chilly air mass for us but it begins to move out of the atlantic. the circulation around the high is in a clockwise fashion so when the high was to our west, we have the northerly flow bringing in the cool air. now that west high moving to our south an east, we'll have a southwesterly flow. that what is helped to warm us

case again to tomorrow. well to the north and west, that is where the next frontal boundary is taking shake. kind of unorganized now but tomorrow and on the day on thursday, it will organize into one front and move in our general direction. we'll take a look at futurecast. warm in the east, 71 at kansas city. so for futurecast, we still have quiet weather tonight. tomorrow morning will be milder. it will be more in the way of 40s. but look just off to the west, all this cloud cover in response to the front moving into the plains. that moisture is being drawn up from the gulf of mexico. we expect thunderstorms to fire up tomorrow evening across the mid and lower mississippi valley and some of these could be severe. and during the day on thursday, this system advances to the east and some of the storms are across alabama, tennessee and georgia during the day thursday and could be severe. thursday night, the system approaches. there could be an isolate thunderstorm just off to the west around midnight. then during the morning, the front comes calling with some
