i'm brian shrader...lets rewind... good evening...thanks for joining us.... is week.... the woman accused in a string of jewelry store robberies including one here in our state..appears before a federal judge. and a second chapel hill bar connected to a deadly drunk driving crash learns its punishment. . the georgia woman charged in connection to a series of jewelry store heists ... including one in mebane stood in federal court monday. 24-year-old abigail kemp had no comment for reporters as she was escorted into an atlanta area court. several family members sat in court supporting kemp. federal investigators say she is responsible for six robberies in five states. they say she managed to get away with diamonds and high-end watches worth more than a million dollars. federal court records say agents made the arrest after analyzing cell tower information and social media.

trying to figure how pieces of metal fencing ended up on highway 264-- flattening tires of several vehicles. drivers tell us.. traffic became a mess near knightdale because of what appeared to be pieces of metal fencing scattered across the bypass. an ambulance was one of the damaged vehicles. a second chapel hill bar connected to a deadly drunk driving crash learned its punishment wednesday. the abc commission voted to fine the owners of "he's not here" 15 thousand dollars.... and suspend its license for 21 days. the fine must be paid by february fifth.. and the license suspension begins on february 12th. workers at the bar are accused of serving chandler kania -- who was under age -- before he was involved in a crash that killed 3 people.. on thursday...a woman was shot inside a fayetteville beauty salon. it happened at the d-ambiance salon-- where the victim worked -- just off ireland drive . investigators say her son walked in and shot her in the face, then took off. while first responders worked to keep her alive-- her son returned.

custody. he's in jail without bond. some customers were wrongly enrolled, others were wrongly billed. w, the ceo of blue cross blue shield of north carolina is taking his apology tour statewide. wral's kathryn brown reports....he hopes to help ease frustration for thousands of customers by taking a drastic step. blue cross blue shield of north carolina is doing damage control. ceo brad wilson is calling some customers personally. and taking to the radio airwaves statewide to apologize for an enrollment debacle that has affected thousands of customers. brad wilson, blue cross blue shield of nc ceo :08 these difficulties are unacceptable and we apologize :12 trk 25-thousand north carolinians found themselves erroneously enrolled in plans they never signed up for, as open enrollment was met with a tidal wave of new customers who signed up under e affordable care act. another 32-hundred had the incorrect amount of money suddenly drafted from their accounts. thousands more say they're confused about whether they have coverage at all.

governor pat mccrory says this oundbreaking is kind of cool. this is cool. and businesses like cool because you can recruit business. for many years, the old dillon supply company warehouse on on south west street sat empty. within the next two year though...broken window and graffiti will be transformed into this. more than 220- thousand square feet of retail, apartments and office space. really when this goes up and people see this,hs s ogt be game-changer. it's really going to set the standard for what raleigh expects to see. while many are excited...preserving the city's warehouse district comes with a set of challenges. when you're trying to preserve make it more modern today there are just issues sidewalks are like them to be nice and gracious and big. mayor nancy mcfarland says projects like this reflect reflect raleigh's growth. according to census data, the

than 50 percent within the last fifteen years. governor pat mccrory says once this is complete, others throughout the state should take note. in raleigh, candace sweat, wral news. raleigh city councilman bonner gaylord says the project is expected to be complete by the end of 2017. a wake county student wants new school district policies. he says transgender students should be allowed to use restrooms of the gender with which they identify. wral's adam owens reports...the student is looking for a policy change that, he says, respects who he is. hayden riner's birth certificate says he's female. but the former wake county student, says he now identifies as a male. the change, freshman year, was difficult. 04:20 "i have been called many derogatory slurs." riner says a simple trip to the restroom, was a big problem was not comfortable in the ladies room. the school did not allow him in the men's room. 03:55 "and told me, if i continue to

i would be suspended." 01:32 "it affected both me and hayden, these kinds of policies." wake county student c-j lewis is also transgender. he started this petition online - support is growing. it calls for policy changes... 02:33 "we want to live as a different gender, so we want to be able to use the bathrooms that are congruent with our identities." 18:55 "we do take the petition seriously." crystal reardon is the director of counseling at wake county schools. federal privacy laws do not allow her to discuss individual student cases. this past summer, the school district rengthened existing policies. 14:52 "to include a prohibition of any kind of discrimination based on gender identity." she says school workers consider any student requests. but there is much more they also have to consider. 18:20 "we want to make sure they are safe themselves and we also want to make sure that any decisions we are maknig do not negatively impact and other student in the building and create an unsafe environment for them." haydon says administrators at his school gave him access two other individual restrooms.
