no one was hurt. a raleigh daycare worker is charged with child abuse after being caught on a surveillance camera, mishandling a one year old. 46-year-old tracey stallings was arrested tuesday and charged with misdemeanor child abuse. those charges could be upgraded if doctors determine one-year old elijah was injured as a result of the incident. stallings was fired, but the child's mother says the daycare should have done more. she was allowed back into the classroom- the day after the video was discovered. a clayton man faces various charges after authorities found a meth lab at his home. state and county law enforcement searched brian hoeger's johnson drive home wednesday. they found materials used to make meth, stolen guns, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. the lab was disassembled and hoeger had to be decontaminated. cleanup took roughly 8 hours. another person living in the home was also charged. democratic vice presidential candidate tim kaine wrapped up a two day visit to north

kaine's visit coincided with the start of early voting in north carolina. he laid out his and hillary clinton's plan for the future and how they plan to win in november. kaine also visited an early voting site in apex. donald trump was in north carolina friday. he attended a rally near asheville. the republican presidential nominee says he's planning to attend multiple rallies a day -- until election day. trump told the crowd he plans to fight for every vote and he will push himself to the limit.. also friday... the u-s army corps of at falls lake, which is still high following hurricane matthew. engineers delayed the release from the dam, to protect downstream communities from more flooding. they say it will take four to six days for the water to reach places like kinston and new bern. they will continue to release water until they can get falls lake back to normal operating levels. that should take about two weeks. multiple crashes along i- 95 in johnston county shut down the interstate and claimed three lives.

16 years behind bars. a jury found him guilty on three counts of involuntary manslaughter in a wrong way crash that killed three people. wral's candace sweat shows us how kania addressed the court after the verdict. this case is about a 20 year old man who got drunk. and despite the best efforts of his friends, drove and killed three people and injured a nine year old little girl. judge henry hight didn't mince words after sentencing 21-year-old chandler kania to up to 16 years in prison. mr kania what you've done represents the worst to the judge height's final words, 12 jurors delivered a verdict, finding kania guilty on three counts of involuntary manslaughter. after a night of underage drinking, kania drove the wrong way down interstate 85...coliding with and killing felecia harris, darlene mcgee and harris' granddaughter, 6 year old jahnice beard.... 9 year old jahnia king survived. kania expressed remorse for his actions. not a day goes by that i'm not reminded of my awful decisions and gruesome consequences. i do

who suffered all the consequences not the kings, beard and mcgees. i am the only one deserving of this heartbreak and misery. kania faced second degree murder charges...but he was not found guilty on ose charges. the trial was taxing for families on both sides and there were many times when emotions boiled over. so it's kind of like just trying to figure out who i am now without my mom being there. jahmonie smith, described the ou his mother and daughter died in the crash. justice wasn't served for them. my daughter was six. she just basically turned six and she didn't get a chance to live and enjoy herself. and that was taken from her from him. that was candace sweat reporting.. wral spoke with one of the jurors off camera who told us

when it came to the 2nd degree murder charge. this juror was emotional - but said it came down to the letter of the law. the prosecutor also mentioned in court that civil suits against kania's family have been settled. we're learning more about what happened in a raleigh apartment where a baby girl died. the man accused of killing the 10-month-old appeared before a judge. the police report confirms marcus alston called 9-1-1 and attempted c-p-r -- before ems arrived to find the baby already cold to the touch. alston is being held without bond on charges of murder and child multiple inconsistent statements to police. next on rewind ... people pay attention to the strength of a hurricane based on its winds - but that's only part of the equation. fish: "you've got the wind, you've got the surge, you've got flooding, and all of those things are potential killers. recover. durham drive in raleigh is notorious for flooding because of drainage issues, but never like this. during matthew, water rose nearly six feet in 16 businesses in the tryon business center. furniture, equipment and client files were destroyed. business owners are frustrated that a dispute over drainage something needed to be done and something wasn't done. this could have been prevented. this could have been prevented. in the past, the property owner has blamed erosion from a city service road, but raleigh's stormwater manager pointed at private drainage pipes as the major problem. a legal fight is likely. environmental activists say they have proof of a coal ash leak in the neuse river. they believe this milky white substance on the
