the north carolina governors race is still too close to call. the race could hinge on a number of provisional ballots that will be counted on november 18th . roy cooper declared victory at his party. pat mccrory didn't exceed. mike morgan defeated justice bob edmunds that was seeking a third term. four of the seven justice's are registered democrats. morgan argued that morgan's bought unfair politics into the court. two polling places went on

temperatures are 52 in roxboro. 16 degrees warmer in rocky mountained ten degrees warmer in erwin. this band came across the mountains and we didn't see anything in the rain gauges. the cold front is still off to so, we'll have patchy light rain between now and there. here is 8:00 a.m. you can see as we get through the next few hours the rain shifts eastward. we have potential for showers for the triangle. we had wraparound moisture that came around. a bit of a lift in the at moss ifer. around roanoke rapids we could still see showers after lunchtime.

eat accident reported this morning on louisburg road near fox road. we'll keep our eyes on it. belt line is looking good this morning. we are looking about 11 miles to i-40. >> ryan thank you very much. turning to other news no arrests yet in a shooting in raleigh. this happened on hill street after 6:00 last night. they found a man dead from a gunshot wound. they are asking anyone with information to contact police immediately. police are investigating a shooting outside a bar. this happened at jumpers.

the business with someone with several gunshots. no word on the victim's name or the search for a suspect. a 20-year-old man is charged for an assault near an raleigh high school. a 15-year-old is also charged in the case. the high school was on lockdown for most of the afternoon after the off-campus fight. the 15-year-old victim was cut on his hands. wildfires raging carolina can be seen from space. the spacecraft captured this image. they issued a ban in the western part of the state because of the fire risk. it prohibits all burning in 25 counties even if you have a permit.
