let's talk about the north carolina governors race. it's still too close to call this morning. the race could hinge on a number of ballots expected to be counted by november 18th.

it's ten degrees warmer in southern pines. 13 degrees warmer in roxboro. yesterday we had temperatures near freezing. we are so far from that today. to the west we are starting to see clouds move through. we will likely have sunshine later this afternoon. the light rain is passing us by best. here is a look at future cast. we are beginning to see clearing with lingering wraparound moisture near the virginia line. we will keep the potential for showers in that part of our viewing area. thursday looks nice and bright as of friday. we will see a chilly weekend. boy. you haven't seen a lot of rain

look at the intense flames there. a huge firefighter presence. they are working on putting out their fire. the their report this is the third fire there in the last few weeks. we are watching this warehouse fire in suburban buffalo, new york. >> they said the building belongs to a mulching in company. this is the third fire according to the third fire in the last three or four weeks. they have had problems on that site. bow, the flames are roaring. >> we will bring you more information as soon as we get an update. >> there are fires really close

i hope they contain the flames. there was a shooting that happened last night. police found a man dead from a gunshot wound. they are asking ??? with information to contact them. police in fayetteville are investigating a shooting outside a bar. this happened at the jumpers nightlife before 10:30 last night. police say a man and woman were outside the business when someone fired several gun the woman was injured. her condition was critical. no word yet on the victim's name. a 20-year-old is charged for an assault at a high school. the omerani was charged for assault with a deadly weapon.

because of the big backups outbound wade avenue is backed up from inside the belt line. 440 westbound is also backed up. consider using glennwood avenue. roy cooper said he's the next governor of next next. he claimed victory in the morning hours. the state republican party is calling his claim premature. they will hold conference this afternoon and wral will be there. mike morgan won over bob edmunds. morgan's victory gives democrats a majority on north carolina supreme court for the first time in 20 years. cloud cover, warmer temperatures, patchy light rain is what we have been seeing this morning. it's moved across into our area.

cloudy and warmer today.. >> and we have rain moving through, elizabeth. >>reporter: we have been tracking this front for a few days. we are seeing some of those showers. the temperature change is huge. we really saw our temperatures cooling down. we will see the temperatures cooling down a bit. a lot warmer than yesterday. we'll take a look at satellite look terribly impressive. already starting to see clearing back here around the foothills. take a look at temperatures. really warm, 50 in durham. 50 degrees in roanoke rapids. we will stay here and only warmup into the low 60s. gradually we will see sunshine rolling in by the afternoon. we are back to colder temperatures tomorrow morning.
