a homicide investigation is under way in durham. this happened last night at about 10:30 along rowena avenue. a man's body was found in a crashed vehicle with an parents gunshot wound. the man's name was not released. a man was hit on a road in deputies were looking for a man walking in the road when a driver reported hitting a man with his mirror. no word on the man's condition or his name. and a call for help from the durham rescue mission. they said they need 10,000 new toys for the annual christmas dinner and toy give away. this video from last year's event. the toys should be new and unwrapped.

better on nc 42 to i-440, but not necessarily as bad. we'll show you why we are seeing so many issues on i-40. this is at reedy creek. the d.o.t. is there and have been able to open up all the lanes now and work the accident but still as you have to drive past, it's best if you can to move over if possible. another area is 40 at avenue. this, again, is the westbound lanes. we have an accident blocking two lanes just up the road there, and there -- this is where we are seeing that on the sensors. red in both directions. so keep that in mind if that's part of your morning commute. you can see plenty of accidents, one of issue which is causing issues, 440 westbound and 40 eastbound but

but if it's cold enough, they don't need it. and they will make it in the mountains, too. and today, not a good snow making day. they are seeing much-needed rain in the mountains. let's take a look at the radar picture, and we look at 4:15. as i loop it, watch the rain trying to move into the area across central north carolina. not a lot of support, not a lot of lift that continues into the area. so it's nothing really helping so not seeing a whole lot here and we talked about that friday and on friday we talked oh, tuesday and wednesday may be wet but mike moss was saying it didn't look like it will be very much. tomorrow, maybe some, but not the amounts we hoped for.
