good saturday. i'm craig melvin. right now paul mccartney is still performing for fans at fedex. leading up to tonight's big show, a traffic nightmare. fans sat bumper to bumper for hours on the letway. in fact, some missed the first part of the concert. darcy spencer was in that traffic mess and she joins us from fedex. how long were you out there, darcy insures the traffic? >> reporter: we can certainly relate to the frustrations of all the people trying to get to the concert tonight. it took us about two hours 45 minutes to get here to fedex field just coming from silver spring. it's typically a 20-minute drive. it seems no one was expecting all these traff backups. >> terrible. the traffic's terrible. >> it is a nightmare. but i'm in a hurry to get to the show. >> thousands of people with tickets to go to the paul mccartney concert at fedex field missed part of the show. traffic was backed up on the beltway for hours. aprently because of the thousands of people trying to get to the stadium.

parts maryland tonight. 1600 bg & e customers are still in the dark tonight. the national weather service has confirmed it was a tornado that uprooted trees and damaged some homes yesterday afternoon. the worst damage may be in the small town of ijamsville in central maryland. fortunately, no one was seriously injured. folks, we're following a developing story in israel tonight. three people are dead there after a shooting at a nightclub. a gunman apparently opened fire in a club popular with teenagers in tel aviv. a manhunt is underway for the shooter. police believe the shooting was criminally motivated and not the work of terrorists. in his weekly radio address today, president obama cited newly released gross domestic product figures as an indication his economic recovery plan is working. >> history shows you need to have economic growth before you have job growth and the report yesterday on our economy is an

crazy" approached security with a bag full of batteries and wires. the suspect has been charged with placing a fake bomb in a facility and make threats. a number of flights were delayed or canceled cause a domino effect at other airports preventing flight crews from getting into and out of laguardia. an f-16 had to make a rough landing this afternoon. the pilot told air traffic controllers the jet had lost its breaks. as the jet burned off fuel, the airport deployed a cable across the runway. the jet's tail hook grabbed that cable. that brought it to an immediate stop. no one was hurt. some incredible video in turkey today. a building demolition there goes terribly wrong. this is an old flour factory. take a look, instead of imploding, it tips and rolls. workers spent 15 days weakening the base of the building so it would essentially crumble in on itself. as you can see, it didn't go as

planned. luckily no, one was hurt there either. nearly 30 show horses have poisoned at aif calornia ranch. the rahwn c oer says someone broke into the barn and fed the horses highly toxic oleander leaves. just ten leaves can cause cardiac arrest. three horses are being treated at an equine hospital. the other horses ar being treated at the ranch. it's going to be another week before we know whether the threo sickest horses will recover. still ahead, we're all used to seeing are park spaces for handicapped drivers or mothers who are expecting. there's unusual park restrictions popping up now. also, are we going to see there's something big happening at pizza hut. - woooh, nice! - that's a lot of food! noget big meals like our stuffed pizza rolls, pizza mia, the p'zone... and our personal panormous pizza starting at just $5.

ticket prices are going up at walt disney world starting tomorrow. a one-day theme park ticket at walt disney world will go from $75 to $79. for adults and kids from 636 pd. multiday packages are getting more expensive one day after disney announced third quarter profit dropped some 26%. there's a new typef rervseed parking space getting drivers to do a double take. the spots are for hybrids only to help the environment, some meters around dallas are now offering free parking for hybrid vehicles. meanwhile, a new department store in south texas has preferential parking for fuel efficient vehicles while some say they like the idea, some suv drivers are parking in those spots to protest. you'd be able to narc that

shopping mall because you've got a fuel efficient car. >> notice how the bumpers are green. >> i did not notice that. >> takes special eye there you go. >> today was a little warm, cloudy at times but we managed to avoid the rain. what about tomorrow? >> we had a few isolated thunderstorms today. tomorrow we could have another round of severe weather. we have another front heading our way tomorrow. tomorrow we're going to start seeing increasing cloud cover especially ear in the morning. the clouds start to roll in. as the heating starts to build, we could have some thunderstorms and some could be on the strong side, especially south and east of town. with that said, let's go to the maps and talk about your forecast. here's what it looks like outside right now. it is currently mostly cloudy. these are clouds that are holding over from some thunderstorms that billoed up earlier today. they were very widely scattered but nonetheless, they do -- they did produce some cloud cover. mostly cloudy right now.

77 degrees. the wind out of the southeast at 7. the dewpoint on the high side. it is really muggy out there with a of 70. 77 in the beltway. warm at dulles, almost 80 degrees. 79 currently in springfield. dewpoint regionwide are in the low 70s. it is really humid out there. that will be trend again tomorrow. just to our southwest, there are a little batch of thunderstorms pushing up towards the northeast. these thunderstorms are producing very heavy rains and some gusty winds. looks like they were going to continue to push up towards the northeast and looks like they could clip northwest washington. so tonight, again, we have those thunderstorms that will continue to slide up towards the north and towards the east. 77 locally. 81 in down in raleigh, 81 down in atlanta. dptds on the high side. there is some dryer weather off to the west. eventually we'll get into that on the back side of this frontal band right here.

this is our next front right here. it drops into the region tomorrow. as it swings across the area could, bring us a few severe thunderstorms by tomorrow afternoon. and again, especially south and east of town. so from the delmarva peninsula across the chesapeake bay down toward central and southern virginia and down towards the carolinas we could have severe weather. the biggest threat with these storms will be heavy rain and gutsy winds. something we'll watch. tomorrow here comes that front. again, some active weather possible. as we head into monday, the front's going to sit off to the south. by monday afternoon east of town, we could have a few pop-up thunderstorms. so tomorrow morning, here's the forecast then. again, we're going to start off with increasing clouds as the day goes on with maybe a stray hour during the morning hours. sunrise at 6:10 in the morning, temperature anywhere from the 60s to the low 70s. as the day goes on, we go partly to mostly cloudy. we could have showers and thunderstorms. some of them could be on the

strong to severe de, especially south and east of town. but with the extra clouds, temperatures tomorrow will be a little bit cooler with daytime highs basically in the mid 80s. it will be very humid out there. and then as we head into monday, maybe a few lingering thunderstorms especially south and east. tuesday looks great. lots of sunshine right around 90. then on wednesday, here comes another weaked frontal band whi could kick up a storm or two. coming up in sports, a former national helping out his s on deck. dan's on deck.
