we al know now that texts while driving is dangerous and now the white house will convene a summit on the issue. transportation secretary ray lahood says he will bring together safety experts, law enforcement officials, and others concerned about the dangers of text messaging and cell phone use while driving. lahood says if it were up to him, he would ban texting while driving all together. he hopes next month's meeting will be a crucial first step in efforts to put an end to distracted driving. texting while driving is currently banned in virginia and 13 other states as well as the

off the gulf coast of mexico, there's been a rare discovery. a leather backed turtle nest. take a look. four hatchlings were found. researchers placed them in a bucket, checked them out then released them into the ocean. the turtle weighed only a half pound each but are expected to grow as big as their mother who probably weighed almost a ton. finding a leather backed nest is so rare in south florida that in a one can remember when the last

stimulate the system, to fight it and to kill it. >> reporter: the vaccine is given once a month for six months. minimal side effects have been reported, including low grade fever, as well as inflammation and retness at the injection site. it's given to patients after they're done with treatment and could be especially beneficial for younger women like kelly baker. >> she's very young and she wants to live a long life. and so this is something that we're hoping will help give her immune system a chance in the future that should this come back, that her immune system will recognize those cells and kill them. >> whether it helps me or not, if it's helped somehow by more research and more information anaycaben mpel h people in theel , it wou be a wonderful thing. >> reporter: kimberly sutters, news 4. it's going to take a few years to did determine whether this vaccine will work, but doctors are very hopeful. and that's news at 4:00. news 4 at 5:00 starts right now.
