patients accused him of inappropriately touching them. >> i'm jim vance. police say the alleged assault happened in a doctor's office in chantilly they're worried there may be other victims. tonight we are hearing from the man who hired the suspect. craig melvin in fairfax county with the latest. >> reporter: the man accused of fondling the patients is in jail. his ex-boss says there are probably more victims out there. people in pain come to the chantilly specialist for treatment. when paul baconi opened the police he hired jorge sanchez as medical assistant. he recalls the first conversation he had with the patient two weeks ago. that was the first patient who said sanchez violated her. >> he walked out of the room. another medical assistant walked in. and she just broke down and said please don't leave me alone. >> the same day he says another patient made a similar claim.

>> was concerned maybe i was wearing the wrong dress. my blouse was the wrong thing. i led him on. no, sweetie this is a doctor's office. i said good gosh, i don't know how deep this is going. i made the decision i was calling the police. >> the spokesperson. camille neville. >> they felt something unusual happened to them. they trusted their gut. >> police charged the 49-year-old with two counts of sexual battery. he turned himself into police wednesday. baconi says this is the first time sanchez has been in trouble since working for him. but admits he never performed a back ground check. >> the f el low that worked for me as a pa at the time had been working with sanchez at the coast guard. and he effectively, vouched for him. he insists his pain clinic is safe. this was an isolated incident. he is worried all the victims have not come forward.

>> i don't know. you know? my knee jerk would say the possibility is there. >> fairfax county police say more than a possibility, they say it is a likelihood and they believe sanchez has more victims they want the victims to call the police. thank you, craig. the police in arelington have arrested a man they say shot a woman working at an apple store. 21-year-old byron dean rang the doorbell at the service entrance to the store july 3. the surveillance video of the attack. the man pulled a handgun as soon as he walked in the store. the female worker who opened the door was shot. she has since recovered from her wounds. dean was already in jail on unrelated charges. he is being held without bond. we learned that the virginia

tech gunman was never treated at the university's counseling center though a judge ordered that the troubled student get help. cho's mental health records were released today. they show cho met with a university counselor. after a night the mental hospital. the meeting lasted 30 minutes. cho denied having suicidal or homicidal thoughts and deniedis having any reason to harm himself and never would. the meeting came 18 months before cho killed 32 students. faculty before take his life. >> the man arrested in a case of arsons that critically injured a prince george's county fire fighter on april 8th in the largo area. daniel mcgowan injured trying to put out a car fire that spread to a house. jackie benson has our report. jackie. >> jim, doctors thought recovery would take about a year. instead he was back at work in four months. just as an arrest is made in the fire that severely burned him.

>> the fire was too hot. like sitting in an oven. >> 22-year-old prince george's fire fighter, daniel mcgowan talks about the morning of april 8th. he was the first one through the door of a house fire. he became disoriented in the searing heat. >> completely blacked out. couldn't feel it right here or the light down on my side. the face piece came off. >> after mcgowan was rushed to the hospital critically injured. investigators determined the fire appeared few have been deliberately set last week. they obtained an arrest warrant for 5 #-year-old john anthony daniels jr. the ex-boyfriend of a woman who lived at the home. the documents say dna from a pink shirt found at the scene led investigators to daniel. >> one of our members was injured. seriously. and we took that into account throughout our time investigating this case. >> free on bond, daniels told news 4 he did not want few talk on camera. he said he looked forward few having the truth about the

the government says it cannot fight swine flu alone. it is interesting businesses to help fight the spread of the virus, h1/n1. federal official have issued new guidelines for employers to follow this flu season. businesses are urged to have contingency plans in place to keep operating if a swine flu outbreak hits. strategies include training workers to fill in on other positions and allowing them to work from home. officials also stress that if a worker gets sick, he should just stay home. >> the puritan work ethic. with reason but this fall it would serve the country better to praise common sense and responsibility. >> the government wants employers to urge workers to get the swine flu vaccine when it becomes available. >> illegal drug use by babyboomers is on the rise.

dozens of same sex couples held a different sort of protest. they came to a diner in silver spring to demonstrate against the treatment of a lesbian couple. the restaurant's owner says the couple took their affection too far. michael flynn has the story. >> a dine-in demonstration at the tasty diner in silver spring, same-sex couples were here to maintain public displays

of affection. a protest organized by this lesbian couple. she was with her date, at the eatery, 2:00 a.m. last wednesday. they were holding each other and they say not even kissing when they claim they were told to leave. >> we were just like talking, and just holding each other. and -- you know, neck thing you know, the manager comes over and he asked us to leave. >> the exact words, thiss a family establishment, people are trying to eat. >> as though the reaction to us was like fear factor. >> they re-enacted how they were holding each other in front of the counter when they claim they were kicked out. they say a straight couple was nearby making out with no complaints from management. however the restaurant's top manager whose family owns the restaurant says the couple went a lot further and was touching each other inappropriately. >> the tasty diner is a family restaurant. and it doesn't matter, if you

the mayor's hand is broken. he lost some teeth and has gashes on his hand. he says he can't really talk about it. >> a few car dealerships have stopped offering cash for clunkers rebates. they're worried about getting their money back from the government. the dealers have to pay the rebates out of their own pocket before getting a check from the government. the program is popular with consumers, but some dealers say they're facing a cash crunch. because the reimbursement requests have not gone through. today transportation secretary. ray lahood assures dealers they will be paid. the agency responsible for processing the rebates is tripling its staff in an effort to deal with the backlog. when you think of the best hybrid cars out there you think toyota, honda. but the hybrid sedans with best gas milea are the 2010 ford fusion hybrid and mryercu 10 my milan hybrid. both revamped.
