there were too many times last year when it seems jason campbell was running for his life. >> on his back. jim zorn actually said he was scareded to call certain plays because he knew campbell would get his clock cleaned. when you talk about the season opener, it's really simple. redskins, 6 1/2 point underdogs and giants, at least on paper, just a better football team. last season the redskins scored two touchdowns in two games against the giants. not exactly productive. one of the problems, what we were just talking about. oat offensive line which rarely gave jason campbell enough time to throw. now things may have changed, something campbell will appreciate. after a slow start, the skins' offensive line started to gel. although the starters didn't play much in the preseason, when they were on the field, jason campbell for the most part remained upright. two big changes on the o-line this year.

speed of it, that he'll see for the first time. as far as having a rookie start, i don't look at him as a regular rookie because of the maturity he brings to the arena. >> with a coach like that, i have a lot of trust in me as fares being young. i want to go out there and just not let them down. that's my main mentality. always been that way growing up as a mature guy that takes everything in and just do what i do best. that's playing under control and playing with a position that fits onto a defense. >> it's a difficult thing to remember he is a rookie. a, because he looks like he is older than he is. and he has that deep baritone voice. he is a scary dude. >> and he plays sometimes above what you would expect of a rookie. >> especially when he puts his hand down and lines up the defensive end. >> two more reasons i like
