blocks and blocks were flooded. good evening. it was a 72 inch wide water main that burst in the middle of the suburb of dundalk. it dumped water into one community. >> the water was chest deep in some areas. late tonight, the senator called it a disaster. >> we may not see how much damage there is, yet. with homes and carsflooded, the state is saying they will help families in need. a community east of baltimore between 95 and 695, a 45 minute drive from here. >> reporter: no injuries have been reported from this. that's very good news. an area of 70 square blocks had much of the evening cut off from

road before christmas. rescue crews had to be called auto. they pulled drivers who were stranded. the one that burst in dundalk today was six feet wide. >> there are a number of things that may affect people from trying to get around. you may have to find alternate routes to get around. dominion, virginia crews relocate d power lines. a stretch of the highway will be closed for up to 30 minutes at a time overnight. lanes are expected to reopen by 5:00 tomorrow morning. skins play the home opener monday. they are ready for what's going to come for it. they plan to have more trains running for the fans.

arrested last night. he's facing weapons charges. he's a guard for the cavaliers. he was pulled over for speeding and making a lane change. he has one of three gun on his motorcycle. he's facing speeding and weapons charges. no word on why he had the weapons with him. a federal judge called it a cold-hearted murder. now, the man convicted of murdering an armored car driver will spend the rest of his life in prison. he was sentence d to life plus 0 years for the shooting of jason swindler. they wanted the death penalty, but it was off the table when they found him to be mentally challenged. >> i can't understand how davis

could get -- shoot him in the back like that. >> we have lost our son. nothing will bring him back. at least we know no one else will have to go through what we went through in his hands. he left behind a young son and wife who suffers from hodgkin's disease. a woman whose family thought she was missing was murdered. her body was discovered in a plastic storage container two weeks after she disappeared. a 17-year-old kid has been arrested. jane has the report. >> reporter: that 17-year-old juvenile will be charged as an adult according to montgomery county police. they say, he murdered his girlfriend's mother. when rose vanished without a trace, worried neighbors circulated fliers. police found her body hidden in

a backyard plastic storage container. >> it's sad to hear this news. i saw her the day before she disappeared. all of a sudden, she disappeared. then, it was shocking. >> reporter: more shocking was the arrest of the 17-year-old. he was dating the victim's daughter. vasquez didn't approve. the victim's daughter led him into the home the night of august 30 and kept him hidden in the basement. her mother found him there. an argument ensued. they believe the suspect killed the victim in her home and hid her body in the backyard container. >> the family is in shock. we want to be sensitive to them before we ask more questions about the detail that is led up to this. we believe we have her assail

he crashed in prince george county and got away. the women inside the car was not injured. we are learning details about a man accused of killing a yale student, annie le. there are reports, the suspect, raymond clark, was a controlling person and often clashed with researchers in the science lab where he worked. he sent a text message to le on the day she disappeared. he wanted to talk about the clenlyness of the mouse. investigators saw him trying to hide cleaning equipment that was spattered with blood. police charged a 13-year-old boy with starting a wildfire near los angeles. it burned nearly 2,000 acres. police have not accused him of starting another fire.
