minutes. tailgaters at fedex were met with some new rules today. the redskins that changed their policy on where fans tailgate. as derrick ward reports, fans are giving the new rules mixed reviews. >> reporter: a rule of thumb. the bigger you party the closer to the back of the lot you'll be placed. how do fans feel? go redskins. >> that depends on who you ask. for some biger is better there's not much change. buses and motor homes have always had space. but what about those in cars or suvs? for some there's strength in numbers. >> the tailgate runs from 100 to 300 people. so with a group of our size it's easier. >> reporter: but it's those that may use one or two spaces that under the new rules are placed at the back of the lot now matter how early they arrive. many used to come early just to get those prime spaces. >> it's frustrating.

president obama asked new york governor to withdraw from the governor's race because paterson is so up popular which white house official says the president is concerned that democrats could lose the governor's office in a key state. a recent poll found just 20% of paterson's constituents approve of his job performance. the governor says only that he's planning to run. learning more about an alleged u.s. terror plot and the men behind it. three suspects were arrested this weekend in new york city and denver right now they are

charged with making false statements. investigators say that this is probably just the beginning. evidence reportedly suggests that new york bomb plot with possible links to al qaeda. one suspect has reportedly admitted to attending a terror training camp in afghanistan but denies being part of the plot. authorities say the investigation is just beginning. when we come back, a popular northern virginia eatier is closing its doors for good after decades of service. we'll have that. also, we could see some major changes with the weather as we head to the

in a few hours an eatery that's been feeding families in legs dra for decades closing its doors. the owners say that it's gotten too hard to stay afloat in these tough economic times. darcy is leave live in alexandria with the story. >> reporter: this shop opened back in the 1970s. since then they've probably served thousands and thousands of pizzas to hungry customers. these are among the last pizzas being served at generous georges on duke street in alexandria. after 33 years the business is closing. a victim of the economy. >> our business has dropped down and obviously the banks are loaning money to help out small companies. they might wait but the business has been here for a long time on the corner and alexandria has

grown up around it and a lot of people came here when they were kids and they bring their kids. everybody is really sad. >> reporter: over the years they developed a loyal customer following and been the host of countless parties and special functions. >> i went to high school across the street. we used to come here after half-days and things like that for lunch. i've been coming here since i was a kid. >> reporter: it also means job losses for 28 workers, many of them have been employed here for years. the manager has worked here for 12 years, since she was 17 years old. >> we haveany regulars. we've had people that have -- that came in last night when they found out and theme come back again tonight and they are taking home lots of leftovers to try to stock up on it. >> reporter: many customers made it a point to come today and get one last pizza and showheir for a business that will be missed, not just for the food, but the people who served it.

if shawn's your fantasy kicker you had a good day. >> greg, i think you're right. jim zorn said after the game in this locker room that it was cy lept, despite the win. he said the guys realized that there's plenty of work to be done. the thing that's most disturbing is that they made it to the red zone five times but couldn't score a touchdown. coach seemed positive by anxious saying he wants to look at the film and evaluate his own play calling after the game. a win is a win, 9-7 over the rams. the they'll take it. but in the second quarter, the redskins up by 6-0. the rams here on offense. the rams give the handoff to steven jackson and the redskins knew this guy would be such a problem. you hear it through the defense like a bulldozer through a stone wall. this guy can run, push out of bound. finally, by redskins corner back carlos rogers who he had a heck of a game. a 62--yard gain to set this up.
