police say an overnight shooting led to the third murder that happened on dallas drive in temple hills. police do not believe any of the murders are connected. fair fax police want to clear up some confusion about an e-mail that says a serial rapist is on the loose in reston. it all stemmed from reports on march 13th of a man, a suspicious man, spotted on a running path. well, extra patrols were sent. two days later, the "washington post" ran an article on an east coast serial rapist. that is when an e-mail began circulating that tied the suspicious man to the unsolved rapes. police have issued estimate and say "in part, there is absolutely no information which remotely ties the suspicious male to the east coast rapist."

those georgetown students who chained themselves to a statue chu for eight hours yesterday in protest got the response they were looking for. university officials have agreed to meet with the students tuesday. students upset about what they claim is a lack of access to sex education on campus. they also want the school's health plan to cover birth control. their protests including duct taping their mouth which is symbolized censorship. metro prepares for an atck. metro held a simulation between

some people living near wall street returned home today. they were evacuated late last night when a crane fell onto their building. this morning, the crane was removed. it was being used in a construction project when it tilted last night and hit that 25-story apartment building you see there part of the building actually broke off and fell to the street below. fortunately, no one was hurt. while we are in new york, the new york yankees not only have the most world series championships shall the team also has the world's highest-paid athletes. each yankees' player averages about 7 million bucks a year. a-ro making the most that team just beat out spain's real madrid soccer team. they average roughly $6.3 million a player. dallas mavericks the next american team on that list, number five. the los angeles lakers come in at number six.

humidity climbing, dew points which were in the teens and 20s this morning are now in the mid 40s and climbing. boy, that is been a wild march. not only have we not seen a single freeze this month. overall, march is more than five degrees warmer than average. the rain showers are coming in overnight tonight as a result of the potential for heavy rain. the national weather service has issued a flood watch west of the blue ridge. hagerstown, martinsburg, winchester out to the west of there flood watch for overnight tonight that officially goes until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning, the heaviest of the rains tomorrow morning, the temperatures remain in the low to mid 40s now, out ahead of the showers, temperatures in the high 50s to near 60 degrees. winchester, virginia, a half inch of rain so far. cross junction, virginia, not far away, a third of an inch there as you get toward thurmont, maryland, a quarter inch, but the rain showers come down. look at live doppler, see the rain showers just moving into

the western suburbs at this point in time. i will zoom into where the heaviest of the rain showers r hagerstown, martinsburg, far western maryland, washington county getting in on the heavy rains at this point in time and then along interstate 81, down to the south of there from winchester down through front royal and i-81, spots like that getting heavy rains at this time. there you can see on the broader view, rain showers extend all the way to the southwestern virginia and further than that out into parts of the ohio valley. so we have a lot of rain between now and the next time we see the sunshine. area of low pressure moving out of the ohio valley will bring the rain, the heaviest of which will come overnight tonight into the morning rush hours tomorrow morning. be ready for a messy monday morning commute tomorrow and then showers with maybe even a rumble or two of thunder tomorrow afternoon. no severe weather expected though. rainfall amounts could average one to three inches of rain across the area and even heavier amounts of rain as you get toward new england and new york. rumble or two of thunder tomorrow. the flood watch is up, west of
