a local woman is barely alive tonight. he was found in the street. a car hit her and the driver did not even stop. good sunday, everyone. police hope that some key ces left behind at the scene help them find that hit and run driver. it happened around 8:15 last night as the woma walked along carol avenue and silver spring. >> reporter:ontgomery count police crash investigators worked the scene late last night. the call went out just after 8:0 for a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. a 24-year-old woman was found underneath a parked truck. >> iheard a thump. sounded like a car hit another car. >> a dark colored sedan, smaller

model, possibly a honda, actually came up and struck her with the right hand side of the car. the vehicle then fled from the area. >> reporter: authorities don't have muc more than that. but they do say this was a piece of evidence lef behind. part of the passenger's side rear-view mirror. >> then, idealy, something that would be helpful would be the color of the mirror could match thecar. >> reporter: police say the car could have damage to the right side of the front end or windshield. residents say traffic can be a problem there and they'd like to see some traffic calming devices. >> speed bumps would be good.
