at 6:00." a prominent washington journalist arrested at his georgetown home on drug charges. right now hes awaiting an appearance in court. this saturday, i'm craig melvin. this afternoon police have confirmed that it was howard aaronsteen arrested at his house in georgetownovernight. he is a cbs radio news correspondent. he's also the washington radio bureau manager for cbs news, according tois bee owe onthe website. a police report says that officers raided his home sometime shortly after midnight. they arrested him and a woman who lives with him. cannibis plants were seized. he is appearing right now in court on that arrest. we have a reporter in t courtroom. we will, of course, bring you the very latest developments just as soon as they become available. meanwhile tonight, new terror threats have prompted the white house to consider issuing a travel warning for all americans in europe. intelligence officials have received information that osama bin laden is planning attacks

asles exposure at reagan national last week. a person with measles was on a plane that used the airport thursday, september 23rd. a live look here the at reagan national tonight. alexandra health officials are working to get in touch with everyone who was on that plane with the infected person, but they believe that others who were in the terminal from 8:45 in the morning until 12:30 that afternoon may have also been exposed. measles symptoms include a fever of more than 101 degrees, coughing, sneezing, a rash, as well. and they're concerned because sometimes symptoms take three weeks to develop. from measles to bedbugs. bedbugs have now made their way into one of the district's most highly security federal buildings. officials with the u.s. agency for international development say they found bedbugs in one of its offices in the ronald reagan building downtown. exterminators are scheduled to be there this weekend. it looks like unattended

in an ironman triathlon. an impressive feat for anyone, right? but for one special cpetitor, the feat will be especially sweet. at one time, he didn't even think he would live to see the race. here is steven luke with the story. >> the first thing to go are the big muscles. >> reporter: a morning most college students would rather not think about. there is one 30-year-old freshman who can't afford to sleep in. >> oh, this is nuts. 2 miles to mic bike next weekend. >> reporter: what makes that even more remarkable is less than a year ago, clayton trca could barely get out of bed. >> fear. >> reporter: he had been in remission for testicular cancer when doctors told him the chemotherapy hadn't worked. >> i had a tumor the size of a baseball on my neck that poppe up out of nowhere. and i went to the e.r. and found out that i was stage 4 terminal.

>> i know that i look sick, i know my skin is palend my eyes are dark. >> reporter: doctors said his survival chance was about 60% and he may only have four months. >> without effective therapy and without a little bit of good fortune, he certainly could have suck coupled to this cancer. >> reporter: the appropriate treatment turned out to be two intense doses of chemotherapy a human can endure, followed by a transplant of his own stem cell. >> its painful, but it's not the end the world, at all. >> reporter: and it was not the end of clayton tresca by far. what do you tell a cancer patient that's dying, that's supposed to die? do you tell him no, he can't do it? he's supposed to be dead, you know? >> reporter: he didn't even wait to get out of the hospital. >> so i can honestly say in my 25 years as oncologist, i have never seen anyone train for a triathlon during a transplant. so clay is a remarkable guy, no question about it. >> lungs hurt, legs ht, chest hurts.

>> reporter: within six months of the transplant shall he trained for and completed a ironman triathlon. but once again, wasn't don next week, he will compete in one of the most strenuous athletic competitions in the world, the ironman world championship, 112 mile bike ride, 26.2 mile run, but the most amazing part for clayton, a 2.4 mile swim. >> february was the first time i ever got into a pool and actually someone taught me how to swim from one side to the other. this i for everyone else, just to prove that anytng is possible. >> reporter: and of that, clayton tresca is living proof. >> i don't want to be rembered as, you know, guy who died. i want to be remembered as the guy who lived for every moment. >> amen to that. coming up in sports, alex ovechkin doing a little modeling in downtown this afternoo
