he and his wife appeared in court. darcy spencer was in the courtroom and she has the latest from dcs second district headquarters. hey, darcy. >> reporter: according to the documents the drug bust was the result of an anonymous tip. place si they und large potted plants ofmarijuana growing in the backyard. prom negligent cbs radio journali howard aaron stooeb has been arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana after police found nearly a dozen potted marijuana plants growing in the backrd of his georgetown home. according to sources, second district vice officers received an anonymous tip that pot was being grown at aaronste's home in the 3500 block of t street northwest. the documents say about 11:30 friday night, the officers found 11 pot plants in his backyard, some in plain view. and there was a strong odor of marijuana in the air. all of the plants, the documents say, were about 8 feet high. during the execution of a search

warrant, police recovered more pot in baggies inside the house. his wife, orly katz with a possession to distribute marijuana charge. a washington correspondent for israel's largest newaper and writes under a different name. during an appearance in d.c. superior court the couple bound by shackles appeared together and were we are leased on their own recognizance. according to the cbs website, aaronstein has been with the network since 1984 and is currently a correspondt and bureau correspondent for cbs washington in washington. he's won awards for reporting. cbs news is declining comment on his arrest. during today's brief court appearance, katz's attorney said that she tested negative for any drug use. no mentionas made for drug use for her husband during today's appearance. now the cple was ordered to report back to court on october 15th, again, they were releed but one question remains.

appeal now. bin laden ha urged muslim governments to do more to help pakistan's flood victims and shared his worried answer the effect of climatechange. he says the muslim nations have not done enough to help pakistan that was hit by the devastating floods that killed hundreds and affected about 20 million people this summer and he's accusing the media of not covering the floods enough. bin laden went on to say that journalists should increase their coverage of climate change. there was a moment of silence at rutgers university homecoming game tonight to remember tyler clemente. he jumped to his death last week after his roomma allegedly used a webcam to videotape him having a sexual encounter with another man. so far, police have charged two rutgers freshman with invasion of privacy and police are still deciding to add hate crimes charges against them. the parents say their hope is

its way into the phone market. they have stware designed to catch up with apple's eye phone and droid's smartphone. meanwhile, microsoft is suing motorola for infringing on its smartphone paten. the company says motorola license some of its mobile technology from 2003 to 2007 but did not renew t license even as the phonemaker continued to use the technology. speaking of technology, officials at the harrisburg university of science and technogy recently taught students a new lesson in computers and life. they pulled the plug for an entire week on access to social networking sites. no facebook, no twitter, no instant messaging as well. some students found that life can be better with face-to-face interactions. others say they suffered through withdrawal for a week. >> introduce yourself. hey, a can't friend you o facebook. i'm josh, how you doing? >> whole lack of instant message
