pb took the stage of a summit toy. where finding ground on the economic front was no easy task. kristin dahlgren joins us now with the details. >> reporter: the stakes were high. it's been the president's goal to double exportsithin the next year. there were two major areas, first, he was not able to increase a trade deal with south korea. it would have increased exports in beef and autos, but he and the south korean president were unable to meet a deal. second, the g-20 agreed to stop undervaluing their currcy. the u.s. accused china of manipulating its currency to

make exports more attractive. but many say the u.s. did the same thing to the dollar last week. the president tried to downplay disagreements. >> there's an instinct to focus on the disagreements, because otherwise, these summits might not be very exciting. it's just a bunch of world leaders sitting around intervening. and so, you know, there's a search for drama. >> reporter: the president insisted the global economy is on the path torecovery. he now heads to tokyo for an economic summit there. >> kristin dahlgren in washington, we appreciate the report. thank you. 4,500 passengers and crew trapped on a cruise ship are happy to be back on dry land with water, electricity and working showers and toilets. >> porter: the sight that thousands on sea and thounds more on shore waited for, the

good morning. if you're just waking up, this is "early today." in sports, two of the nfl's best teams went at it in atlanta and as expected, the game went down to the wire. here's nbc's fred roggin with an early look at all your sports headlines. good morning. if this was a possible super bowl preview, we're in for one heck of game in february. falcons and ravens. baltimore down. flacco's third touchdown of the game put the ravens up, 21-20, but not enough. under 30 seconds to play. matt ryan to a wide open white. white took it for the game winning score. falcons won it in a thriller. now around the nba, rondo may only be 6'1", but he can flat outfly monster dunk.

welcome back. let's take you through your weekend forecast. wet weather through the middle of the nation from dallas, oklahoma city back up into minneapolis. ohio valley, tennessee valley, east coast, youook just fine. actually, you look fine even into saturday. finally warm things up a little bit in the mid-atlantic. maybe a chance of snow in minesota on saturday. some areas around duluth had the possibility of getting a couple inches of snow. by sunday, east coast still looks ne. some of that wet weather will head into new orleans and san antonio. if you're watching us on nbc 4 in shington, d.c., explore the entire week of photography from photojournalists to fine arts. it's part of the citywide celebration known as fotoweek. that's your "early today" event of the day.

>> very nice. now here a look at this morning's headlines in entertainment. it is one of those increasingly rare weekends where there will be a battle at the box office. denzel washington and up and comer chris cline is an action thriller about a run away freight train carrying toxic chemicals. some exper say it will finish on top with up to $25 million. but others expect a big second weekend from last week's's champ "megamind." it could finish first with around $30 million. seen as a spoiler without a real shot at number one, the debut of "morning glory it will draw older audiences, but only about $15 million worth. also buting, the alien invasion offering "skyline" expected to draw $15 million.

when responding to a call in which an elderly woman had died. they were originally signed to 14th street north of park road early one woman in september. a 911 call came in about an incident of a woman bleeding from a medical incision on her neck. the ambulance arrived 16 minutes later. it was not at the firestation who was near the woman that eventually died, instead at a station a few miles way. nurses at washington hospital center are planning to go through with a one-day strike on the day before thanksgiving. national nurses united says understaffing is hurting patient care. the union now hopes a strike will force a new deal with hospital management. >> we're worried about the threats to our patients with
