>> bob: dallas continues to play well even the two they've lost under jason garrett, they have been competitive agait playoff bound teams. but philadelphia now goes to 9-4. half-game lead in the nfc east pend being the outcome of the giants game tomorrow night, med as you knowo detroit against the vikings because of the damage to the metrodome. here is the playoff picture starting in the afc.
11:36 pm
hasn't h atlanta has a big meeting in new orleans. chicago is number two. seattle and st. louis are tied atothe west. each at just 6-7. the rams on that tiebreaker, they own it. they meet in the regular season finale in seattle. saints and giants curntly hold the wild card in the nfc. packers need to get going and they've got a trip to fox broe next sunday night. in the afc, patriots hold down number one and are head ring steady at number two. jets and ravens are thwild cards right now but new york has trips to pittsburgh and chicago the next two weeks after losing back-to-back to the patriots and the dolphins. michael vick threw for two touchdowns tonight, one was caught by desean jackson. that pair is on field with andrea kremer. >> andrea: thank you, bob.
11:37 pm
you said last year they kick our butts and sent us home. how gratifying is this win tonight? >> it is a great victory. the guys fought hard. we struggled but they have a grea defense and i tell you what, i take my hat offo this guy here, de shawn. he challenged me all game and sometimes i need a guy to step up and challenge me. even thoughe's young, he's not afraid to do that and it brings out the best in me. i'm just thankful to have him on my team. >> andrea: you took some hellacious hits, some legal, some not. ow did you wittand it? >> the hits didn't hurt. they were shocking for the most part. sometimes that gets you going into the rhythm of the game. i just hang in there, keep fighting. >> andrea: how vie tat was lesean mccoy to your offense tonight. >> he was great. we got great players on this team. these guys all have dere to be great. that's what you need.
11:38 pm
if they continue to have that attitude, they'll go down in history books. >> andrea: you want to give your love to this guy. why are you guys able to hook up? why are you back in rhythm so much? >> because we believe in ourselves a believe in our coaches and we'll never give up. we know what we can do. we know we're a great team. going to keep fighting. >> andrea: thank you, michael. >> we're going to keep doing this until the wheels fall off, baby. >> andrea: you told me before the game you were going to start out early. what was the plan to get you involved. number 7, man. he's unbelievable player. just a blessing to be able to play with a guy like that that goes out and gives you his all. he takes blame for everything even if it is not his fault. i'm just honored to play with this guy. not even him, just the whole team, offense, coaches. we got a good feeling here, man. we just trying to take it tthe super bowl. >> andrea: what happened with your left foot? >> i'm hurting obviously.
11:39 pm
i did the bestdy to keep fighting. i was running about 60%. somehow, some way i still made it to the end zone. we're not going to get caught in that. i'll be all right. it is not too bad. i'm hurting but i fought for my teammates and i'll put it on the line for them guys. >> andrea: at the end of that 90 yard touchdown, what are you thinking? you had some experiences where you've gone into the end zone without the ball. >> that will never happen again honestly. as long as i'm handling my business, i took it to the end zone. whatever else happens after ha, as long as i keep hold on to the ball and make it into the end zone i'll be all right but i omise you won't see that no more. >> andrea: thanks very much. bob, next week they are at the giants, their last away game and their last game against a team with a winning record. >> bob: andrea, that a lot. how about that average per catch in four receptis for 210. 52.5 for receptions tonight for desean jackson.
11:40 pm
enough to overlook the theatrics at the end of the 90-plus yard touchdown. let's swing things over to 30 rock and hook up with tony bungee. what keyed the eagles' success tonight? >> tony: you could tell listening to the interview with vick and johnson they felt confidence they could get plays on dallas corners. vick t hit a few times in the first half. second half they blocked those defensive linemen better, gave them time and got se those big plays. i would have never guessed before the game started that philadelphia would outrush the cowboys and mccoy had a great second half, madehose big plays in the last drive running the football. i think you do have to give a lot of credit to that eagles offensive line. bob tony, the patriots haven't just been nning, they've been dominating teams. which of their two most recent victims -- the jets or the bears -- in bigger trouble right now? >> tony: the bears lost the game today. they got blown out but they had
11:41 pm
won five in a row and had been playing good football. jets on the otherand have now lost two in a row. even before th, they weren't that impressive. they've been struggling scoring. their running attack has not been as good as it needs to be. making mistakes, lapses in concentration. they have to get back on track. they've got two toh road trips. the jets have to go to pittsburgh, then to chicago. those could be two losses that put them in a four-game losing streak. i would say the jets are the team that has to get it going or be in danger of getting knocked out of the playoffs. >> bob: that would have seemed unthinkable less than a week ago when they rolled into new england tied with the patriots atop the division. they got plastered there, then lost at home today as everyone knows to miami. thanks, as always, ony. turning now to mike florio. one of the topics for you tonight and tomorrow has to be the fallout from that strange shot delivered by jets strength
11:42 pm
and conditioning coach who stuck out his knee and tripped up the dolphins nolan carroll who was returning a punt. >>i think we'll see a decision that's reached jointly by the league and the jets as to what the jets will do by way of punishing sal who has apologized ansaid he'll acceptny punishment. possibly a suspension through the end of the year. there will be people who call for him to be fired. i think the nfl players association and the players generally will be bask this very carefully for evidence after double standard in this season where we are seeing players find an potentially suspended for aggressive play that isn't intentional in any way, when you have an intentional situation like this that could have potentially seriously injured the player, if there isn't serious action taken against at coach i think there will be major complaints
11:43 pm
>> bob: a fine or suspension would be serious, but to lose his job would extreme, wouldn't it? >> it happened to woody hayes when he decided to take a swing at someone. it looked subtle and sly, but i don't know the nfl wants to be associated with that kind of behavior. >> bob: we know the giants and vikings play in detroit tomorrow nig with the metrodome unfit after the weekend's major storm but the vikings are also home next monday night in another game with playoff implications against the bears. when will we know if the dome will be ready to host that game? >> this is another big decision that could come as soon as monday. the question is can they get that dome ready to play a week from tomorrow. this is another game that could potentially impact the nfc playoff field by giving the bears an easier way to get back on the winning track by not having to go into the metrodome and deal with the ise and distraction that goes along with it. if it ends up a at a neutral site like another dome where there aren't vikings fans there
11:44 pm
o or even if they playout doors at the university of minnesota, you lose that dome effect even though you have the home crowd. it is an outdoor game which the bears are very familiar with so this is something packers fans have to look at saying we're not getting a break at all here because it will be easier for the bears to win next monday night if they don't play in the metrodome. >> bob: some of today's key injuries, beginning with the packers aaron rodgers. >> he suffered his second concussion of the season so he'll go back into that cycle to determine when he can play. he has to be cleared. just because he's had a second concussion doesn't mean he's automatically out. if he passes the test he can play next sunday ght against the patriots. dion butler, seahawks receiver, has a broken leg. he is out for the year. the tampa bay buccaneers lost two more starters. they've now lost six starters this season. gerald mccoy their rookie defensive tackle. quincy black, linebacker, both gone for the year for the tampa bay bucneers. >> bob: one more. a by-product of the difficulties with the metrodome.
11:45 pm
in theory it gives brett favre an extra day and a half to be ready. does it make it more likely that he plays tomorrow? >> well, earlier today it looked like he wasn't going to play but that extra day or so ofest you never quite know with brett favre. we've seen him recover from a lot of injuries so this could be something that allows him to play. bob bob thanks, mike. fos, check out more fromike florio on pro football talk on nbcsports.com. all theatest nfl newsnd notes. philadelphia wins by three in dallas and we go back to al and cris to wrap things up right after this. introduce wendy's natural-cut fries with sea salt, we've set up a human chain from coast to coast... so taste our best fries ever, and pass 'em on! pass 'em on. share the news! we only use whole russet potatoes and sprinkle 'em with sea salt for a taste as real it gets! oh, cmon! cmon cmon!

notwithstanding. desean jackson, 210 yards. michael vick, two passing touchdowns and rushing touchdown, couple of picks. he got the job done, however. jon kitna with two touchdowns both to jason witten. six lead changes here tonight, philadelphia wins by a score of 31-27 to stay in prime shape in the n east but stewart bradl bradley, dislocated elbow. brandon graham got hurt. asante samuel, le bback next week? still a lot to think about for philadelphia, but still in good shape. footballpros.com, what are you talking about tomorrow? >> cris: i don't know. we'll just recap the game a little bit. really it is the story of michael vick was good tonight but he was not, you know, the great mike vick that we've seen earlier in the season. night it was lesean mccoy, desean jackson and desean jackson catches an out route an goes 91.
