grade in harmony middle school in loudoun county. he was sitting when a male teacher told him to sit down. >> i told him i am sitting. and he picked me up by my waist and throws me and pushes me out in the hall and starts yelling. >> reporter: in the hall the teacher said he was being nasty and disrespectful. the police are investigating the assault investigation. mr. bryant met with the school on monday and returned to class today. wednesday morning his lawyer filed an injunction to keep the teacher out of justin's classroom. >> i want my child to learn and feel safe. >> reporter: the school board's attorney called to say that the teacher is on administrative leave and the commonwealth is reviewing the police report and video from the gym. >> i wanted to let my son know

this sketch. he is a suspect in a sexual assault case in the district. a 17-year-old girl was attacked on sunday afternoon in perry place in northeast. if you recognize this man police want to hear from you. a jury found a teenaged driver not guilty after causing a deadly car crash last year. brittany was charged with vehicular manslaughter in may of 2010. prosecutors say she was on her cell phone when she collided with another car. douglas callahan was killed. his wife survived. she was disappointed with today's verdict. >> i was hoping they would find her guilty on the manslaughter charge. but you know i feel blessed to be here. we're just trying to make it visible what happened here. you know, make people more aware of what's going on and what tragedies can happen with cell

weeks ago ended yesterday. the boy was found dead in a wooded area in clarksburg by cops with tears in their eyes. >> these detectives had a chance to know william. >> one of my detectives really put it in perspective. he said that you know, for two weeks you know we have been searching for this boy not knowing where he was. at that moment he was in our care and custody and make sure he was taken care of. >> what tore at the officers was security camera video from a gas station that the william and the man suspected of killing him visited minutes before the murder. >> chilling to watch the video where you have this beautiful young boy just carefree not knowing what is going to happen. >> reporter: and to end the day with the announcement of another

stepfather arrested as suspect in the murder of another child. >> glad we could find william and can take care of him from now on. and bring closure to jessica's family, you know with that case. it doesn't bring either one of those kids back. >> reporter: william mcquain's stepfather is jailed in north carolina. he will be brought back to maryland. prosecutors -- this is my experience -- very rare in montgomery county. prosecutors are talking about pursuing the death penalty in this case. back to you. >> thank you, jackie. prosecutors in the case of jessica nguyen released new details today. they say that david hang her stepfather stabbed the child more than 40 times back in may. he was denied bond today. police arrested him yesterday.

a surprise landing in northeast d.c. when pilot had to land a military helicopter in a park. he was tain taking part in a training exercise when both radios went out. the visibility was bad and he decided to land in the first field he saw. the pilot was okay. a very personal cause brought grammy award winning singer natalie cole to washington today. she spoke about her struggle with the disease hepatitis c. >> there are so many people that do have it that are ashamed. there are people out there that know they have it and made them feel ashamed. this is no longer a disease to be ashamed of. >> natalie cole is now part of a national campaign called tune into hep c. it is to raise awareness and

911 what is your emergency? >> there is a lion out here. >> that will get your attention. tonight all of the wild animals wandering around have been found. they got out after this man, the man who owned them let them all out and them killed himself. among the animals, tigers, lions, bears and a wolf. the sheriff of the county in ohio says that 48 of the animals had to be killed by the deputies. >> i'm sorry what happened to the animals. my heart aches for these animals. but the hearts would be aching for people who could have lost their lives if it wasn't for these people back here. >> most of the animals euthanized were returned to

their former owner's property the be buried. six were captured safely and taken to a zoo. a speed camera is getting people angry because it is hidden by a tree. most people don't mind them catching speeders but don't think it should be hidden. this stretch of road is notorious for accidents. district police don't know of a law that says that they have to be easy to spot. you can see a location of all the cameras on the police department website. people are trying to resolve a food crisis. a pantry was forced to shut down for the rest of the month because they didn't have enough food. is it because of increased demands for food and the floods and the tough economy. it is run by action in community through service. about 4,000 people rely on them

friends and family are paying tribute to a personal trainer who was killed when a tree branch fell on him. his name is ben. he was 35 years old and walking to work this morning when he was hit and killed by that branch. shomari stone is live with more. >> reporter: people who live in the neighborhood are stunned, dumbfounded. they can't believe this happened. many walk and jog in the morning and look up at the trees wondering what would happen if a branch fell. it did this morning. the victim's friends are at a bar remembering him.

a memorial rests at the foot of the tree where a branch hit and killed benjamin. >> it is surreal. >> he was one of my best friends. we talked all the time. he was one of the kindest people that i knew. >> reporter: fire investigators say that he was on adams mill road northwest at 6:30 this morning when the heavy branch dropped on his head. his friend says it feels like a bad dream. >> i just want him to walk through door and just say you guys i was kidding. >> reporter: colleen says he was most likely waiting for a bus to go to work at sport and health club. he was a personal trainer. >> he was the most healthy trained person i know. >> reporter: he was young, fit, and in shape, training for an upcoming try athlon. >> for him to be walking to the bus on a wednesday morning, for this to happen.

irony may be the word to describe it. it blows me away. >> reporter: his family and friends will always miss his great personality. >> he is the most passionate, understanding person i've ever met. >> reporter: now a police officer on scene asked the urban forestry department to inspect the tree. somen residents want the authorities to inspect a lot of the old trees that have been here for at least 100 years. they are concerned about the winter months around the corner. i'm shomari stone, news4. our weather today was lousy. >> it was not good out there. nasty across the area. a lot of people needing the umbrellas the entire day. the rain early, the drizzle then the fog more rain and the drizzle and more rain in some parts of the area. you needed the umbrellas.

in the 40s after a high of only 52 in atlanta. you know we have cooler air moving our way. we reached 70 degrees today. that was two hours ago. the temperatures have been rising. the rainfall nearly a half inch of rain so far. 69 degrees is the current temperature right now. a dew point of 67. the winds are starting to pick up and have shifted directions. so we may stay on the mild side throughout part of the evening. to the west, 55 in cumberland but to the east, 72 in baltimore. the warmest temperatures we have seen all day. but notice what is happening to the west. elkens 50. and that is the cooler air moving in over the next 24 hours or so. tomorrow is fairly mild. i think we see sunshine. but the winds are really going to kick up tomorrow, upwards of

30 to 40 miles per hour. the west of the blue ridge and the allegheny front will the be cold enough for the potential for snow during the day tomorrow. on friday cool, but nice with some sunshine. right now the weekend is looking good. will the be a cool weekend. partly cloudy, breezy tomorrow morning. cool with jacket weather likely. 50 to 53 degrees. tomorrow afternoon the temperatures will be 61 to about 64. windy and cool the gusts up to 30 to 40 miles per hour in the afternoon. the next four days showing the cool ayres specially saturday morning waking up to 45 in the city. many areas saturday and sunday will wake up to temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s. some locations -- some of the colder locations could wake up to frost out there. >> already? >> we will warm up next week. is it that time of year in the mountains. is it about time. still ahead, an expert says

a medical expert accused michael jackson's doctor of acting more like an employee than a physician. dr. conrad murray had trouble saying no to jackson. schaefer is an expert in the drug propofol and says that murray should never have given the drug to jackson for sleeping problems and murray committed 17 violations in caring for jackson. murray plead not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. they call it the heart attack grill. it is open in las vegas. the restaurant is themed like a
