is locked out. >> there doesn't seem to be an end in sight to this. jackie bensen from the jericho city of praise in landover. >> reporter: they used twitter and facebook to organize this tonight. it is the latest chapter in the bitter struggle for control of this mega church in the shadow of fedex field. some call it a battle for the soul of jericho city of praise one of the original and most influential mega churches in prince george's county. >> this is not orchestrated by pastor jones tonight. this is orchestrated by the members of this church. >> reporter: the rift began when the founder died leaving a will that left the church in the hands of a six-member board and not the care of her only

remaining child, joel. a prince george's county judge ruled in favor of the board and joel arrived at the church to find himself locked out. that is when the internet lit up. >> the ordeal has hurt us. it has been a year of upset. but we are speaking victory. >> what he is going through right now is a travesty. this is not what the board is going on right now is not godly. >> i used to drive from delaware state university on weekends to just come to church. >> reporter: the members say they plan to return every night for the next seven days. now minutes ago news4 reached mark isaacs. he is the attorney for the six people currently running the board of the church. he says the locks were changed after the alleged theft of audio equipment on sunday. they had the locks changed.

he says that the pastor has not been locked out. jim and doreen, back to you. >> jackie bensen reporting from landover. police are on the scene of a deadly shooting. it happened in a shopping center parking lot on walters lane. a man was shot and killed here. a woman was also shot. she is expected to survive. there is no word on a suspect or a motive. there is fallout over a controversial cartoon of president obama. late word than the republican who e-mailed the image which depicts the president as a zombie with a bullet in his forehead has resigned. he was the chair for the loudoun county g.o.p. he selected the cartoon that was used to promote the halloween parade yesterday. he said it was in bad taste.

relief is on the way for thousands of people who are stuck in traffic commuting to and from fort belvoir in virginia. the department of defense is giving virginia money to widen a three-mile stretch of route 1. route 1 will be expanded to six lanes. the new road expected to improve access to fort belvoir and accommodate increased traffic. construction could begin in 2013. should take up to three years to complete. justin bieber is being sued by a woman in california who claims he is the father of her baby. the two got together back stage at one of his concerts. he wants bieber to take a paternity test. a court hearing is set for this
