sandusky has spoke publicly since the charges rocked the nation. >> the president of the national center for missing and exploited children is disturbed by what is outlined in the grand jury report and is surprised by what jerry sandusky said tonight. >> i say i'm innocent of thoez kwharges. >> reporter: in an exclusive interview jerry sandusky says he does not sexual abuse young boys but admits to showering and horsing around with them. >> completely innocent and falsely accused in every aspect? >> well i have say that i've done some of those things? >> reporter: the president for the center for missing and exploited children says that is disturbing. >> i am surprised by it. grown men don't shower with children. what he is characterizing as

horsing around is really troubling. >> reporter: according to the grand jury report the allegations date back to 1949 sandusky allegedly had sex with boys in hotels in his home and in penn state's campus and locker rooms. >> i have done some of those things. i have horsed around with kids. i have showered after workouts. i have hugged them and i've touched their leg without intent of sexual contact. >> reporter: the alleged victim it is met through sandusky through their participation in the second mile. it's a group foster home for troubled boys. >> have you seen cases like this before? >> absolutely. this is typical. those who prey on children seek legitimate access to the children and gainer that

confidence and become their protecters. >> reporter: nbc news obtained an e-mail from mike mcqueary the man who witnessed sandusky abusing a child in the shower. he said that the truth is not out there fully. i made sure it stopped. i had to make quick, hard decisions. sandusky is free on $100,000 bond. the scandal led to the firing of joe paterno and three other penn state officials. i'm shomari stone. news4. now to the gunshots fired near the white house on friday night. jackie bensen spoke to the suspect's mother by phone as the search for the suspect continues all over the area. >> reporter: i spoke to maria hernandez by phone. she says she has no idea why her son would be in the d.c. area. she reported him missing on on 31st. she thought he went to utah.

news4 learned that oscar ortega was reported missing in idaho on october 31st. police believe he arrived in d.c. a few days later. on friday morning he was stopped in arlington as a suspicious person. he was questioned after photographed but not arrested. these pictures were taken. officers ran his name in a national crime database and learned he was missing from idaho. they contacted the police to say he had been located. hours later gunfire was heard at 16th street and constitution avenue near the white house. the suspect fled in an abandoned honda sedan with idaho license plates. inside was a semiautomatic rifle with a long range. >> specifically what he was aiming at or not aiming at is something that would be better

addressed by interviewing him. he can flesh out the details more appropriately. >> reporter: police raided this house on saturday morning at north 22th and madison in arlington. no one was inside. but sources say that officers found signs that someone may have been squatting there. a honda with idaho license plates was parked on the streets for a few days. >> all congregated outside my house which is a block away. and then after about 15 or 20 minutes they took off, coming down the block to i guess raid this house. >> reporter: we're told that the u.s. park police searched the occupy d.c. camp today but he was not found. his mother said he never suppressed an interest in belonging to that group. >> thanks, jackie. now to decision 2012. tonight herman cain classified his apparent loss for words on

played together since the arrest. in washington the supreme court will decide whether americans can be forced to buy health insurance. 26 states have challenged the president's health care plan. oral arguments are expected in february and in march. the justices set aside five and a half hours. that's more than any case in recent history. a ruling is expected next summer. that would be during the height of the 2012 presidential campaign. we are hearing some of the evidence that took down jack johnson and his wife. the fbi tapped their phone as a part of a corruption investigation and today the u.s. attorney released the audio recordings. they reveal an effort to hide cash and a bribery check. aaron gilchrist reports. >> if you open up the dresser, you know my drawer, right? there's a little box and in the box there's a check. just traer it up or chew it up,

outside the wilson building with no visible tags. brown said that the tags were destroyed in the rain. his office says that brown got a replacement tag tonight and it is displayed. brown was criticized for making the city lease two luxury suvs for him. security cams could be moving inside the fairfax county schools. they have been outside for years but principals and parents want them indoors as well. a rash of food fights broke out in the cafeterias last spring. they want to be in the high traffic areas but the principals say that that would send the wrong message. it is awfully mild outside tonight. but that is going to change, isn't it? >> it is going to change in a big way. right now is it incredible how warm the temperatures are.

currently at 67 degrees. so far, our high temperature today, 73 degrees and we're dealing with the wind upwards of 22 miles per hour. ohio, down through kentucky and indiana we saw severe weather today. even a tornado back in illinois and a very strong thunderstorm cluster just to the south of buffalo. very rare for this time of year. the frontal boundary is moving our way. it will get here tomorrow. i'll show you what to expect coming up. it appears that the nba season is over before it got started. the nba players rejected a proposal by the owners for a 50/50 split of basketball-related revenue. was a take it or leave it offer from the owners. the players will desert fie their union and file an antitrust lawsuit. the move puts the season in jeopardy.

a couple in our area is celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary today but it is unlike any other because during their reception the wedding party was robbed and the father of a bridesmaid was killed. tonight seven years later, the bride herself is speaking out for the first time. pat collins has the exclusive. >> reporter: it is unbelievable. you see that in movies. you see that. it's just not something you -- you expect to live through, you know, on your wedding day or any day. >> reporter: pause of what happened here, because the killers are still at large, she asked that we not reveal her face or use her name. we call her maria. she was married seven years ago at st. matthews cathedral.

>> it was a beautiful day. there was not a cloud in the sky. i walked in with my mom and my dad and i was received by all our guests. >> reporter: that night a reception at st. francis hall in brooklyn. as the party broke up two gunmen began to rob and assault people outside. her best friend, a bridesmaid, beaten. her best friend's mother pistol whipped. her best friend's dad george longshore shot and killed. maria learned about it when her brother came back in the hall. >> he said there's a woman. there's a woman with blood all over her face outside and it's janelle's mom. i wanted to go and see but i was held back. i could hear the ambulance and the police and the helicopters outside.

>> reporter: george longshore taken to the hospital. he died a short time later. before he was shot he tossed his wallet to the robbers. they took out the cash and left the wallet behind. george long-shore killed for something less than $100. >> he had a great sense of humor. and he was so giving. >> do you feel like you've been robbed as well? >> no. i don't think they robbed me. i think they just robbed the world. of a very, very important human being. >> reporter: i'm pat collins, news4 washington. >> police are taking a fresh look at that case hoping that new investigators might find something to lead to an arrest and closure. health news for pet owners.

there is a canine flu outbreak in new york. there is a spike in cases lately. the cases are similar to human flu, coughing, sneezing and fevers and makes dogs more susceptible to other diseases. there is a vaccine for it. big security concerns involving the summer olympics in london. the u.s. could send hundreds of fbi agents to protect the athletes. the british newspaper "the guardian" reports that u.s. officials are worried about safety after organizers underestimated the number of security guards needed for the games by more than 10,000. hard to imagine weather this warm in the middle of november, isn't it? >> i look at the number and it says 67 at 11:00.

i think that something is wrong with my computer. if you take 67 it's the second warmest temperature in three weeks. the high temperature the warmest in a month at 73 degrees. what a glorious afternoon and evening. this is the navy war memorial and a beautiful shot out there this evening. if you are taking the dog out one last time it is spectacular. trust me when i say this you will not see weather like this again most likely for quite some time. the high temperature was 73. the low was 54 degrees. the average high temperature is 59 degrees. we were 15 degrees above average today and the warmest november 14th in 12 years. that's how warm it has been and we are still way above average. the average high is 59 and we are at 67 just after 11:00 because of the winds at 13 to 22
