>> montgomery county council members are hoping to catch drivers who pass by stopped school busses. this morning the council introduced a bill that would allow cameras to be installed on the outside of busses. they are similar to red light cameras and they'd be triggered by the speed of passing cars. drivers caught blowing by stopped school busses would be fined as much as $250. a state survey shows that more than 7,000 drivers passed a stopped school bus in a single day earlier this year, more than 1,500 of those violations happened in montgomery county. >> herman cain is considering his option. late yesterday the republican presidential candidate found himself enmeshed in another scandal. >> reporter: facing his worst crisis yet, herman cain told senior staffers according to one that he is reassessing his campaign. many supporters and critics

>> maybe that she was murdered and brought to another place and either thrown in the sea or buried. >> reporter: we should also mention even when gary gets back to the u.s., he's not fully in the clear. prosecutors are appealing. they could also charge him with a crime down the line. if so, prosecutors here in aruba say they'll file a new arrest warrant and try to get u.s. authorities to send him back to aruba. >> the man convicted of assassinating senator robert kennedy in 1968 is filing a new appeal. according to the "washington post" lawyers for sirhan sirhan argue a bullet was switched before his trial to match his gun and he was programmed through hypnosis to fire shots as a diversion for the real killer. lawyers also say 13 shots were fired that night, five more than sirhan could have fired. sirhan, now 67 years old, was denied parole in march and claims no memory of the shooting. >> a man who got sticky fingers

more than 60 years ago is coming clean about his crime now. he walked into a seattle sears store yesterday and handed over an envelope addressed to a sears manager. it con it and a handwritten note confessing to stealing between $20 and $30 from a cash register in the late 40s. the unidentified man decided to pay it back with interest. he included a $100 bill. the folks the sears are paying it forward, using that money to help disadvantaged families during the holidays. >> there was some question about who would get a $245 million lottery jackpot in connecticut. but it appears the rich have just gotten richer. that's because three wealthy bankers had their lawyers speak for them accepting the prize yesterday. the connecticut lottery rules will allow the money to go to their estates. the three fat cats will take home an after taxes lump sum of about $104 million in cash.

her mother called me, said she never showed up to work after dropping the kids off with me. the police just came by and searched my whole house. this isn't good. my kids need their mother. and that was not the last time police searched smith. on saturday a swat team raided his father's home. >> nothing of significant importance was found at that location hp. >> reporter: in the days following michelle's disappearance, smith posted on facebook he prays for hi shell's return. he tried to clear his name saying i'm not that time of person, if you know me, you know the truth. >> we're not going to stop until we find out who did this. we lf our michelle so much. >> we also learned late this afternoon that dale smith has hired a criminal attorney who represented casey anthony's parents for a time, as well as tiger woods after his scandal start.
