there's something you would see in a scary movie, like something coming out with a mask. >> it's the stuff of nightmares. two intruders reported in the homes of georgetown students. and good evening, welcome to news 4 at 11:00. the incidents happened about 30 minutes apart, and in one case, the disguise came from a horror movie. the other case was a scenario from a child's bad dream. darcy spencer joins us with more from georgetown. >> reporter: the students we spoke to tonight say they're used to getting she's public safety alerts certainty to their computers and phones, these two were definitely unusual last night. one intruder dressed in a horror movie mask, the other jumping out of a closet. >> police are investigating two incidents, where intruders were

found in apartments where george town university students live. they both happened friday night. the first happened just before 10:00 p.m. a student says she was sitting in her living room when a man jumped out of a closet. when she asked why he was there, he said he was looking for a party and ran. >> i'm shocked and kind of terrified, actually. we're being extra careful to make sure we lock our doors. >> reporter: about 30 minutes later, just around the corner, a group of students had a real fright. an intruder wearing a screen mask was in their home fp. >> i started screaming, bloody murder, 911, police. he ran through the kitchen, stopped again, looked at us and moved on. >> he was pocketing items, an ipod and cash. >> our basement door had been opened and neither of us have

left it open. we noticed there was a breeze coming from the back. >> the students say the man ran down the stairs and when they screamed he bolted out the back door. students say it's a scary reminder of what can happen. but they still feel it's a safe campus. >> this is a good place to go to school and very safe. it's a pleasure walking any time. >> anyone with information about either of these cases is asked to call the department of public safety on the georgetown university campus. at this point we don't know whether knees two cases are connected. reporting live from georgetown, darcy spencer, news 4 back to you. >> thank you, darcie. he got out of jail by mistake, turned himself back in, and now frederick scott is out of jail again, he's a suspect in a murder in edmonton in march. he was arrested in las vegas in may. extradited back to saint georges county. he was supposed to be held without bond.

but a clerical error led to his release. he turned himself in, and that bond was set at a half a million. well, he posted it today and now frederick scott is once again out of jail. police are looking for a thief targeting church preschools. this video was taken yesterday morning from inside all saints preschool. police say the man posed as a parent and walked around stealing valuables. >> he took an opportunity at a busy time when kids were arriving to wander through unoccupied offices and classrooms and taking things. >> police believe he may have also pulled the same scheme at three other nearby churches. in decision 2012, herman cain is suspending his campaign. he made that announcement today during what was to be the opening of his headquarters. today he insisted his wife

charlie sheen's ex-wife is out of jail after being arrested in aspen. she's accused of attacking a woman at a bar early this morning. she was charged with assault and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. and was released after posting $11,000 bond. sheen and muller divorced earlier this year. both have been in rehab, as you know. in just a few minutes we've got "saturday night live" coming up, and host steve buscemi. if you watch "board walk empire" he's your guy.

going to be a little bit of a moderating trend in our temperatures. 37 in kansas springs. 32 in manassas. as temperatures continue to go down, i think most areas tonight will hold in the 30s for overnight lows. last night we had a lot of spots, especially i-95 that were way down into the 20s. startoff temperatures in the mid to upper 30s, we'll be in the low to mid-50s by lunchtime tomorrow. and back into the upper 40s by 6:00 p.m. plenty of sunshine and gradual increase in cloud cover the second part of the day. it's going to be a day i think you'll enjoy spending some time outside. this is what's coming our way for the upcoming week, though. changes over to snow as you get up toward the stwin cities, the cold air will be arriving here as we get toward next weekend. we have to get all that rain in here first. it will be almost all if not entirely rain for this upcoming system for us. the clouds are leaving us for
