county. the coast guard is searching for a missing boater. their sailboat sank about 2:30 this afternoon in the chesapeake bay near sandy point state park. there were three people on board at the time, a 25-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man were rescued from the water. a 25-year-old man is still missing tonight. coast guard crews plan to search throughout the night. rescuers say the key to his survival could be how soon he's found. >> his body systems will eventually shut down and he'll go into cardiac arrest. we have to prevent that, get him out of the cold water and provide rewarming for him. >> the woman pulled from the water is being treated for hypothermia. the man rescued was described as having life threatening injuries. a dedicated family man dead tonight after being hit by a car while waiting for the bus to go to work. it happened this morning in wheaton, montgomery county police say a mercury milan left

eight years after being rescued in iraq. jessica lynch will finally be able to achieve a lifelong dream. she graduated with a teaching degree today. she's wanted to teach since she was five years old. in 2003, lynch was held hostage after being captured by saddam hussein's forces. video of her rescue was seen around the world. she enrolled in the army to help pay for college. the young marine from frederick, maryland may have a shot at a date with the first lady. lance corporal aaron leaks approached michelle obama at a toys for tots event yesterday. 20-year-old leaks politely asked if she would attend next year's ma roan corps ball with him.

they are running at the washington mall and spreading holiday cheer. it was a good day to have an extra layer of warmth. our high made it up to only 43 degrees this afternoon. leer at the 11:00 hour, back down to 33 now. the winds have died down. that is welcome news. we had the northwest wind 15 to 20 miles an hour for much of the day. that has laid down now. 27 in gaithersburg, 29 rockville, 29 resten. already down to 25 in manassas. out toward the shenandoah valley this evening, 32 in winchester. as you get ready to make your plans for your sunday. expect clouds around first thing in the morning. increasing amounts of sunshine in the afternoon, and a northwesterly breeze, because of the cold start, temperatures tomorrow will once again be stranded in the low to mid-40s for highs, and that's about it. we had snow showers around the 6:00 hour, those have since faded away. a couple more light snow showers

now far southern pennsylvania. they're drifting south eastbound, northern maryland, may get a little more snow during the overnight hours tonight. most of this is evaporating before it gets to the ground. the western side of the mountains might see an inch in a few spots. anywhere really east of the shenandoah valley, not much in the way of snow chances out of this one, unfortunately for snow lovers. clearing skies, the clouds will fill back in between now and tomorrow morning. that will be done with by about 8:00 or 9:00 tomorrow morning. even now if will be a cold start, we'll end up with sunshine tomorrow. sunshine to get the week started monday morning, that will not live long as the next weather front is due to bring clouds in here monday night. a chance for showers late in the day tuesday. more likely in the day wednesday. for the rest of your overnight saturday night. cloudy and cold, light snow and a few flurries out there, mainly for washington. overnight lows in the upper 20s to low 30s.
