areas in martinsville, heavy rain there. that will move over the top of us in the next couple hours. temperatures not all that cold here at least for the day as well as the evening, but look at the rain, it should be shutting off around 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. the clouds will take a while to clear. in every neighborhood we are seeing showers. there's the pocket of heavier rain in pennsylvania. looking east of columbia, and we talked to a friend there, and he said he got soaked coming into work. here is the snow on the back edge of the storm, that's where the cold air is wrapping into the storm. and cincinnati, probably snow for today. cleveland, ohio, you have snow. this didn't update.

the only part where there's airport delays is atlanta right now, and they are getting later and later and worse and worse because of the heavy rain and the low visibility right there. we're okay for boston and new york, but i do think that will change later today. here is your future weather. concentrating on the top. i will point you to where the heavier weather will be. 4:00 today, a lot of the moderate and heavy rain will be to the north of us. i do think that for folks going back to work, it will be slow going back home. the good thing is not as much -- not as many cars on area roads today. there is the area of low pressure, and still know hanging back to the west, which right now we have winter weather advisories posted for western maryland and for some of the

blind man is expanding to maryland. he came to d.c. in early december to visit relatives but disappeared on the train ride home to birmingham, alabama. he was last seen in charlotte, north carolina. firefighters in frederick county are trying to figure out if a suspicious of garage fires are linked. when firefighters arrived at the first fire, they saw the second fire. tonight friends and family of a park police officer who died in the line of to the will gather to remember his life. a viewing will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 tonight in virginia. officer bain was attempting to rescue a person when he suffered a heart attack. funeral services will be held tomorrow. also at the church of nativity,

pennsylvania. last year on this date, they were cleaning up and digging out. why? they had 12.2 inches of snow in philadelphia. there were so many areas that got hammered, and it was the 2010 northern american blizzard. and central park, 20 inches of snow. in fact, it went down as a snowacane. and there was 95-mile-per-hour winds in new york city. why haven't i mentioned how much snow we had in d.c.? that is because here in d.c., we were under a snow hole, and the system developed down south and then waerkenned and redeveloped north of us, and that's what the snow cover looked like between the 25th and 27th. philadelphia got 12.2.

edison, new jersey, 32.5 inches of snow. and raleigh, north carolina, seven inches of snow and here in d.c., a half inch of snow. i like the fact that it has been a stress-free winter so far. right now i am looking at things. and it looks as though we will go through pattern change, around the second to third week of january. that's where we will see the switch to getting more of the real winter kind of systems. winter weather advisories, in extreme eastern areas. and that's where we will see accumulating snow of one to three inches. right now, it just rained through the area. waldo waldorf, it was completely with rain. we will get up to a high temperature today, between 45 and around 52 degrees, the low 50s, mainly south and east. your four-day forecast, a soggy one today. good day to stay inside, and maybe if you can make it to the movies.

significant improvement in the skin. when you are resurfacing with the other wave length, sometimes it's a series of five to six treatments. but they are acumulative, if you do a couple, you will see a improvement, but a vast majority wants to see a great improvement. >> will it come back if you go back in the sun? >> yes k it will. it's important. this is an investment to clear your skin, so we recommend that people definitely wear sun protection. don't repeat what we are trying to clear up. and that's the bottom line. but the procedure itself is excellent for rejuvenating the skin, and clearing dark pigment and you don't want to reverse it by going in the sun and sunbathing. >> any side effects people can expect by this procedure. >> it's important that you go to a physician that is knowledgeable about the skin types, and the device. they are different settings that are going to be used for you,

montgomery county and montgomery village, 37 and 38 degrees. we're in the low 40s, and even mid-40s in some spots. and district heights at 42 degrees. but look at that rain covering the area. it's green. so it's generally light rain. but a few pockets of yellow and especially west of us coming into hager's town. there's heavy rain there. and you see that, there's your future weather at 2:00 today. that's going to move through to about 5:00. by sefrps, all the wet weather should be clear all the way off to east delaware and new jersey. we will have clouds that will gradually clear out. that snow in west virginia and maryland, that's not going to clear. there will be some accumulating snow in west virginia. let's go ahead and take a look at your four-day forecast. today's high, just shy of 50 degrees. very soggy and wet with low visibility. 45 tomorrow.
