pentagon city and ended underground. delays around an hour on the blue and yellow lines. metro officials tell us a man stole something from nordstrom's at pentagon city mall attached to the metro station. nordstrom guard chased the suspected shoplifter into the station. he jumped on the track and ran into the tunnel. when metro police officers caught the suspect. arlington police arrested him. now right now the metro rail is back up and running here at pentagon city station. the blue and yellow lines, well, they're also running and there are no more delays. live here in arlington. >> thank you. >> a man a judge called one of the foulest people in prince george's county will spend the rest of his life in prison. jason scott sentenced to 100 years today for being a serial criminal. been convicted of nearly 30 burglaries, nine home invasions and charged with murdering a mother and daughter. authorities say he worked at ups and used the company's database to access information about his

fairfax county is rolling out the welcome mat. supervisor jeff mckay, pitching the 70 acre warehouse site yard from the station. >> i have a dinosaur of a warehouse next to a regional center. >> fairfax county officials know this is very early in the game. that's because trying to get the fbi to relocate its headquarters from 9th to pennsylvania out to the virginia suburbs isn't a slam dunk. this warehouse site out in springfield has been pitched before, by fairfax county officials, to the base realignment and closure commission. several years ago it was rejected. even though this site is owned by the federal government. instead, the folks chose to relocate the workers, defense department workers to the mark center. at metro there are mix read actions. >> i don't know what it is going to do to traffic probably is not going to help.

the search is on for thieves in stafford county. within the past week burglars have hit three churches. at the churches the thieves stole televisions and electronings. at ebeneezer methodist they got away with $9,000 in gift card for the needy. >> in new york city police nabbed the dapper bandit. dana conner, a suspect in ten new york bank robberies dating to last september. the nickname, dapper bandit, the robber wore suits. investigators suspect connors spent some time in between robberies hiding out. >> the hospital where beyonce gave birth is on the defensive. lennox hospital release aid

39 degrees. we are cooling off. this number not exactly representative of what we are seeing around the rest of the area. take a look at the numbers. colder in most locations through northern virginia. 27 in manassas. 28 in culpeper. 28, frederick. and annapolis. current temperature at 37 degrees. we do not have any rain right now. and i don't expect any rain through tomorrow morning's rush hour. so if you get up and walk out the door you will be okay. take the umbrella with you. here is the rain that will be making its way our way. this is a very compact storm system. and a lot of moisture out ahead of it. once it moves just to the north of atlanta it is going to start to grab moisture off the atlantic ocean. and that -- that will translate into the potential for heavy rain for us. right now, that storm still, well to our south and west. watch what happens here. here comes all the rain during the day tomorrow. a lot of rain coming through during the afternoon. becoming heavy, through the evening. and into the overnight hours. so tomorrow night's rush hour. could be problematic. a lot of ran out on the

roadways. and thursday we get a break. nice, mild weather. temperatures back into the 50s. well above average. before friday's cold front comes on through. and really brings through, some cold air. friday is going to be chilly. with this frontal boundary. we could see a band of rain changing to snow in some locations. i wouldn't be surprised through the north and west of washington for some of you've to wake up with white roofs out there. across the area on friday morning. but not a big deal as far as snow is concerned. bigger deal. rain through the region. look what hap paepens around no. i've expect the rain around the lunch hour. it gets heavy through the afternoon rush. by tomorrow evening. talking about midnight tomorrow. potential for thunderstorm. and may produce heavier rain. partly cloudy tomorrow morning. a cool start. not too bad. 26 to 34 degrees. tomorrow afternoon.
