4:47 pm
that's because of new irs requirements that restrict parking and transit benefits from being used interchangeably. metro riders can view the balances of each purse online at smart trip.com. if you get smart benefits from your employer you can also add a personal purse to be used in the event the smart trips benefits from your employer can't cover your parking or travel expenses. so a bunch of different purses. one you can put money from the employer, your money but you do have to keep your parking separate from travel expenses. >> i'm a little confused but if you get it, good for you. the next question comes from two viewers, teresa in middleton, maryland and an e-mail from pete. they both are asking, because everyone is really looking at the gas prices these days wondering why are they going up so much? they always end in 0.9 cent. why is that? >> sort of silly. the u.s. energy administration helped us with this answer. basically it says ending a gasoline price with 0.9 cent simply is a marketing practice. it's similar to other stores listing a product that 1999
