protesters get a final warning before officially being evicted from their camps. good evening, everyone. a young woman will spend the rest of her natural life in jail for killing her coworker inside the little lemon yoga store. a judge sentenced britny norwood to life in prison without the possibility of parole. >> aaron, good evening. the judge called britny norwood a liar and handed down the maximum sentence. >> reporter: in a dramatic moment, the family filed out of the courthouse and spoke with extraordinary emotion about the sentence handed down against n convicted killer britny norwood. >> until i somehow can get over the pain and suffering that i know my daughter went through, it might -- my unconscious will not let go of it.

>> i've always been protective of my sister. and it's impossible to imagine the pain and suffering that she endured. and not hate that. >> reporter: at the hearing, the 29-year-old norwood addressed murray's family saying before i go to prison, i needed you to hear how deeply sorry i am. but trial testimony that norwood had bludgeoned murray, her coworker and stab bd her more than 330 times affected the judge's verdict, as did the fact that norwood initially fooled detective with a story about a pair of mask intruders. >> ms. norwood will die in jail. she will not be eligible for parole. >> reporter: norwood's family left the hearing through a secured door at the back of the courthouse. they were escorted by sheriff's deputies and declined to speak to reporters. norwood's attorney says he plans to appeal the sentence cht reporting live, jackie benson, news 4.

>> at dawn, crews will start digging for that body found at the bottom of a well. that discovery came after an anonymous tip to police. police need to preserve evidence and make sure the well doesn't collapse. there's speculation the body could be that of lenny harris who has been missing since september. his car was found in prince george's county in mid october. it usually gets you some help of a crash, but police say on-star directed them right to a pair of meth makers in virginia. it happened on clubhouse drive. >> it's just a damn shame that my brother would do this to his own parents. >> reporter: steven is ashamed his brother and his brother's girlfriend are in jail facing drug charges for allegedly having a portable meth lab. >> they showed up at my parents' house out of the blue.

we haven't even heard from him in three or four months. >> leesburg police heard the couple's car was stolen from indiana. police say they walked up to the car, looked in the window, smelled and an odor and found some item frs a possible meth lab. investigators say they found more suspected met amphetamine inside the apartment. >> have you or anyone inside the apartment used meth amphetamine? >> no, sir. i've only seen it on tv. >> reporter: residents are relieved the hasmat made sure everything was safe. >> it makes me shocked. >> reporter: as for steven, well, he feels sorry for his brother. >> evidently, he needs some help if this is the case and he's got a problem with it. >> police say the suspects are facing grand larceny and narcotics charges.

>> eviction notices served and come high noon on monday, occupy d.c. protesters had to pack up and get out of dodge. today, the national park service handed out fliers to the demonstrators. the park service says it's against the law to have camping gear and temporary structures at the protest sites. the tougher government response comes days after members of congress complained that the park service was allowing illegal camping and they demanded action. >> this movement is based on economic repression and inequality and if we can't be in a public park, there's a lot of other places we can be. the fact is people believe in this movement. it doesn't matter if they kick us out of some square because the fight will continue. >> after sunday, the protesters risk fines or arrest if they attempt to camp in the parks. turning now to the race for the white house tonight, in the last two weeks, the republican front runner in florida has changed three times after a strong debate showing last night.

mitt romney is back on top in the sunshine state. nationally, newt gingrich holding on to the republy can lead. it's something that the gop members are frazled and said if gingrich went up against president obama, he would lose in a landslide. that has people like senator john mccane speaking out. >> send newt gingrich to the moon and mitt romney to the white house. >> i don't care what the washington establishment thinks of me because i intend to change them. >> the florida primary is tuesday and the race is so volatile it is anyone's state to win. >> maryland's high court disbarred him today. johnson was the top prosecutor before he became county executive. he was almost at the end of his second term in that job when he was arrested on federal corruption charges last year. prosecutors say johnson accepted as much as $1 million in bribes from developers. he's been sentenced to 7 years in federal prison.

maryland's first lady backtracking tonight on remarks she made about gay marriage. last night, katie smoke at a conference. she said cowards kept a same sex marriage bill from passing in the house of delegates last year. today, mrs. omally releases a statement saying she regrets her choice of words and let her feelings get the best of her. she and governor omally are backing a similar bill this year to legalize gay marriage. a warning for drivers in fair fax county. stay away from telegraph road this weekend. starting tomorrow at 7:00 a.m., the ramp from telegraph road south to north king highway will be closed for construction. detours will be in place for tomorrow eesz road work. starting monday, the next phase will close the ramps from telegraph road on to the beltway and part of telegraph road itself during the overnight hours. that construction is all part of the on going wilson bridge project. we turn now to the weather. some places hit 60 degrees or above today.

are not accepting the deal. that accident claimed 16 lives. 16 others are still missing. a ship full of rocket parts crashed into a bridge last night. this is video of the aftermath. take a look, that 312 foot cargo ship was on its way to florida to deliver those parts. that bridge carries a major kentucky highway over the tennessee river. part of it collapsed. several cars were crossing the bridge at the time. all of them stopped, though, before falling into the water. up next tonight, the call for help as ak dress demi moore suffers a seizure. >> is she breathing? >> is she breathing, yes. >> and she overdosed? >> she's convulsing.

sources say no one was sick or high at school. disciplinary and criminal action is pending the outcome of an investigation. well, get ready tr big delays on metro. the cleveland park and woodley stations are closed. on the orange and blue lines, trains will single track between mcphearson square. because of the trackwork, yellow line trains will only go to mount vernon square. metro apologizing for if madness on the red, orange and yellow lines last night. a computer glitch shut down some trains. some riders say they were sitting in train cars for as long as an hour. this was the second problem in less than 24 hours for metro. yesterday, a cracked rail created chaos during the morning rush. from the rails to the sky, now, the san francisco airport trying to take the stress out of

from the spring-like warmth to some very chilly air. and we still have a bit of wind out there. so windchill temperatures below freezing already in a few neighborhoods. let's take a look back here at today. 70 degrees the high temperature in fredericksburg. but, again, that was at about noontime today. 54 degrees. look at the wind, it's still out there. gusting still between 20 miles per hour in baltimore, 23 in gaitherburg. and hanging on close to 30, now you folks at camp springs maryland. 43 the current temperature. the air drier than it was earlier today. of course, that dry air moving in fast with a lot of wind. and look at the readings by tomorrow morning. so our winds are going to drop to about 5-10 miles per hour. it's going to be a very chilly morning. 34 in leesburg. close to freezing in minasis. on the doppler, not a drop to be

wizards, they play again tomorrow night on the road against the 3-17 charlotte bob cats. talking football, patriot's tight end will play in the super bowl. that's according to his dad. gor day is not a doctor, but he told a buffalo tv station that his son has a high ankle sprain and that he expects rob to be ready for the big game. here's another story line to follow. the giant's defense against the patriots potent offense. the giants d dominated forcing four new england turnovers. tom brady threw two touchdowns, but didn't play with precision. credit the giant's defense for putting big time pressure on brady. desense fencive end justin tuck says new york will need a repeat performance in the super bowl. >> well, obviously, he is the main reason. those minds together. so, you know, the way to kill a snake is take off his head and
