a live look at the companies in fairfax county now, where a mix of rain and snow is falling. everything that hits the ground appears to be turning to water so far but more winter weather is in the forecast. and that's why we bring doug right in to tell us more about that.
5:13 pm
>> mm-hmm. these right by my old high school. >> yeah. yeah. mcdonald's where you had your birthday party. chuck e. cheese. >> hi, guys. >> so how was it out there? >> you know, we are looking at a little bit of rain and snow, this storm is pretty much shaping up what we expected, a little bit less in the way of snow totals to the north and west. i don't think anybody is going to see upwards of two inches, an inch to the north and west. most areas seeing rain of i-95 to the south and east. show what you is happening out there. first off a live shot, a mixture of rain and snow there but also a lot of fog. visibility has been reduced all across the area, some locations reporting visibilities as low as a half to three quarters of a mile, especially where it is snowing off to the north and west. northern montgomery county, tom curran got up this morning, taking pictures out of it by his house in northern montgomery county, light show coting there, still seeing snow and have seen light to moderate snow.
5:14 pm
this is storm 4 radar now. i don't have it in rain/snow mode. i have it in regular mode. what we are talking about here is the precipitation, where it is the heaviest, montgomery county, all snow here in through fairfax county, leesburg, most of that is snow, you get into the rain, this area here much lighter as far as the rain goes. now take it into rain/snow mode for u you can see where that line is around the district, around the i-95 corridor, south and east. this has been all snow all day long, north and west looking at more snow, the snow coming to an end. watch what happens when we widen out here this is it. we told you this would not be a big storm. this one tops to move on by p the next swann much bigger storm system but for a different reason. talk about that in a second. first off, 38 out there now, winds out of the northeast, 5 miles per hour t is definitely on the chilly side across the area, 32, leastburg and gaithersburg. this is the area we could see icing, especially on the bridges and overpasses, the secondary roads, most of the plain roads

sunshine, cool but not too cold, winds out of the northwest 5 to 10 miles per hour. the next few days, beautiful day on friday, here comes the cold, 39 on saturday, 35 on sunday. i do think there is a good chance of seeing at least flakes on saturday, no accumulation. better chance on sunday of seeing windchills between 20 and 25 degrees all day long. most areas down into the upp upper -- rather lower teens sunday and monday morning chillier air coming in. a secret untold for 50 years a former white house intern says she had an affair with president kennedy when she was 19 years old. >> when you keep a secret and when you keep silent about something, you do it because you think it is keeping you safe, but in fact it is deadly. >> nbc's meredith vieira joins us live now from new york with more on the piece you will see only tonight on rock center with brian williams. meredith, the clip we just
5:17 pm
heard, mimi alford described her secret as deadly. what sense did you get from her in terms of any guilt she may have felt over her allegation and did she talk about jackie kennedy? >> is interesting you ask that, she got very emotional one point in the interview, she said, you know, i wasn't a bad person. she wanted to make it clear that she wasn't some bad girl, she wasn't out to get anything. she wasn't looking for a job. she got caught up in what she refers to as a web, caught up in the aura of the president, just the charisma of the man. and regret? no. i don't think she regrets, when i asked her that specifically, it wasn't the affair she regretted, it was what it was. what she regretted was holding onto that secret for so long because it never allowed her to be herself and to truly deal with that relationship, which she understands in retrospect was very unhealthy and because of the fact she couldn't deal with it, she felt she went on to have a series of relationships
5:18 pm
with men that were equally unhealthy. so unburdening herself was an important thing to do and a message she wants to get out to other people holding onto a secret. in terms of mrs. kennedy, i asked her if she felt guilt about the fact that she was spending time with the president, having sex with the president, she says she should have felt guilty but she didn't. she knows it was wrong, should have felt guilty but she did not. >> interesting. meredith, ask youed her about a passage in her book almost makes it seem like she was overpowered by the president. here is how she answered. let's listen to this clip. >> he was the president. he was this unbelievably handsome man, 45 years old, not overpowered physically that someone had grabbed me and made me do something that i wasn't really willing to do because i really think i was willi to do it. >> so how do we interpret that? that she was -- obviously it is
5:19 pm
consensual, but how -- what's the take away from that? >> yeah, well, i think to her to this day it is a little confusing to her. i think she wants to make it very clear that had she said no, she really believes he would have stopped, that it was her decision not to say no. but yeah, overpowered, sure, in a different way, just by the fact here's this 45-year-old man, she's 19-year-old virgin. she is a very naive young woman. again, you know, this is four days into her internship. so, i think she has struggled with that moment and making that decision. but as she said, it was certainly not something that was forced on her and the next time the opportunity arose, she went ahead with it. so, that second time, she could have said no and she didn't. >> meredith, thanks so much t is great to see you and we look forward to seeing your report tonight. we appreciate it. stay tuned to nbc four for meredith's full interview with mimi alford, coming up tonight

seeks actually where that rain/snow line is just to the north and west of i-95, still snowing through loudon county and portions of montgomery county, around gaithersburg, but not expecting much more and really not expecting much more in the way of accumulation. what to expect tonight and tomorrow, snow and rain, taper off after the evening rush and mostly just wet roads until late tonight. that's when we could see the temperatures go below freezing and we talk about swaurks driveways and parking lots, could be a little slick in the morning, i am not concerned at all about the major roadways. i think they should be fine. but look at the temperatures, down 25 in frederick, 25, leesburg, 24 back towards martinsburg, even under the freezing mark in washington, temperature of 31, i do expect to see some ice out there, be careful tomorrow morning. tomorrow afternoon no such problems, have plenty of sunshine today tomorrow, high temperature close to 45 degrees. then friday, friday is looking good and then a whole lot of cold air moving in just in time for the weekend. talk about that at 6:00. >> look out.

wait, hey, we are still on offense, guys. >> here is the thing. i think what's gonna happen, this team is in a rebuilding mode, they have been in a couple of years, what's gonna take place is if you cannot co-exist with john wall, you are gone. i think that is gonna happen. you have to start somewhere, starting from scratch over and over and over again. four guys can run like him, play the way he plays, so he feels better. >> you like jan vesely. the knicks tonight and hear from another hustler, a scrapper, a guy that we hope will be on the team a long time, trevor booker, who played at your old school, collegeson. he is going to be tigers, wizards coming up at 6:00. guys? after the bre
