alexandria's finest, a dedicated paramedic, husband and friend. >> he always had a smile, he was always positive. i never heard a negative word. >> reporter: he responded to a car that went up in flames on i-395 wednesday evening. high stepped out of unit 206, slipped through a split in the road falling 20 feet to the creek below, suffering a severe head injury, the department's first line of duty death in over 100 years. rich has lived next to josh and his wife becky for five years. >> i've spoken to him about him working on the job, and i know how he just put everything into it. >> residents send him commendable letters of appreciation. >> one woman vote josh revisited her home after responding there. >> he helped to launch a training program for mass casualty incidents. >> this will be only part of his lekcy to the alexandria fire

relationship with a student is out on bond tonight. detectives say the relationship had been going on for a year and a half and that they were tipped off by an anonymous e-mail isn't to the school. campbell is cooperating with police. >> george hughly walked out of a courtroom today after a very long day in which prosecutors displayed graphic photographs of the body of yardley love. huguely played lacrosse at the university of virginia, grew up in chevy chase. he's accused of killing his ex-girl friend in a drunken rage. the photographs displayed a lifeless body, the body of yardley love on the floor with bruises and swollen eyes. one of the first detectives to respond to the scene testified that he believed love was a victim of an act of violence. the defense claims it was an accident and that hughly did not realize how badly love was hurt. >> parents in fairfax county should be on alert as they send children off to school.

a 15-year-old girl claims man sexually assaulted her wednesday morning as she walked to the bus stop. he said she'd seen the man in the area before. it happened near fair lakes parkway and monument drive in the fair oaks area. police don't have a good description of the attacker. >> in prince georges county a task force has been formed in an attempt to lure the fbi to move to the county. it will analyze potential sites for the headquarters. the j. edgar hoover building in downtown washington is outdated. a few weeks ago fairfax county nunsed similar plans. >> the fbi released its file on the late steve jobs today. it offers an inside look at the man behind the world's mo vst valuable company. >> the investigation came when the first president bush wanted to nominate jobs to the export

council. the fbi conducted an extensive search. and while many praised his intellect, not all of it was flattering. through the more than 180 pages of documents released today, we learned jobs experimented with illegal drug, marijuana, lsd. at some point someone tried to extort $1 million at him, threatened to blow up a bomb at apple. also unveiled, steve jobs' high school gpa was a 2.65. for the many interviews or from them we see a side of jobs that may be surprising to some. one agent wrote "several individual questioned mr. jobs' honesty, stating that jobs will twist the truth and distort reality in order to achieve his goals." others described him as strong willed, stubborn, hard working and driven. mr. jobs possesses integrity as long as he gets his way.

jedi." you see that guy right there? >> that's definitely a jedi. >> 47 degrees. the high temperature for the record today. actually felt much more like winter than it's felt like over the past couple of days. really the past couple of weeks and months. we have not seen much in the way of winter-like temperatures but they are on the way. i think we're going to see some snow associated with that coming up during the day on saturday. 41 degrees the temperature out there right now, not too bad around the district, winds out of the south at 3 miles an hour right now. current temperatures colder in some locations, up towards frederick, 27 degrees, 34 in n manassis. as we widen out, we are watching a storm system well off to the west kpup see this storm right here bringing rain and snow earlier toward oklahoma. but it's not just that making

its way our way. it's also much colder air from canada. the cold air all winter long has been bottled up in canada and in alaska. alaska one of the coldest winters they've seen in almost 50 years in some locations. that cold air will finally move into the very mild air that we've seen and we're in for a very cold weekend. fortunately for us, though, it's not going to last that long but it is still going to bring us some of the coldest temperatures we've seen all winter. nice today, plenty of sunshine out there on thursday. tomorrow not too bad, another nice day. we'll see sunshine early. then the cloud will move in and here comes our next storm system. look what happens friday night, into saturday morning. rain to the north and another round of possible snow on the back side of that low pressure. i do expect some accumulation, not a lot, best chance to the north and west. one thing we will all see is that guy right there, a lot of cold air. and not just cold air, we're
