24th. tickets for that go on sale february 21st at 10:00 in the morning. doug kammerer was just poised. >> i got 38 tickets. yeah. i got 38. first off i need a lot of leg room. so definitely had to get some of those tickets there. as far as our weather is concerned, what a difference a day makes. yesterday i had 33. it felt like 15 all day long today we reached 50 degrees. take a look at that shot from the tower cam. simply a gorgeous shot out there right now. take a look at city cam too. another fantastic shot. the sun going down but you can see clouds moving on in here. the sun did go down at 5:43 this evening. currently out there right now storm 4 radar not picking up any rain or snow across the area but off to the west we are watching some rain and snow that is going to try to make its way toward the area here. most of this is simply going to fade out as it moves to the east

of the blue ridge and east of the appalachians over the next 24 hours but there is going to be a slight chance for some snow, best chance to the north and west in through western virginia, west virginia, and portions of western maryland. i think that's really going to be about it. overnight tonight 34 degrees in washington. 28 in gaithersburg. 26 in leesburg. you see around the winchester area the best chance to see some of that snow. martinsburg toward eggerstown and maybe frederick tomorrow right back up into the low 50s. we'll see mostly cloudy skies tomorrow with a slight chance of a sprinkle going for a high in washington of 52 degrees. >> all right. >> thank you, doug. dan is here with thoughts on the rumors that peyton manning might be coming here. >> those rumors have been out there for a while. >> like a rollercoaster ride. football season is over. >> yes. >> they got to talk about it. >> every time you hear it on sports talk radio it is the most discussed story in town. peyton manning who has been cleared to play after three neck surgeries, will he end up with the redskins? two weeks from now the other

story making headlines is bryce harper. will the nationals 19-year-old slugging sensation in the game's top prospect be on the nats' opening day roster? "the washington post" columnist jason reed gives us his take on both issues. >> a lot of the insiders have just come back from the super bowl. you talk to florio and peter king and you get two different opinions on whether peyton manning is going to land in washington. i think we share a same opinion. it is not a good fit. doesn't make any sense. would he really even be interested in coming? >> well, you know, i think the funny thing is when you talk to people who say this would be a fit for him potentially mike shannon is here, he's won two superbowls. if i'm peyton manning and trying to have one last hurrah possibly how many years does he really have left? i don't think this is a place that's close enough because presumably he still wants to win. >> sure. >> i don't think this is a place even with a healthy peyton manning and obviously no guarantee but even if peyton manning at 50% or 75% of what he was, i think there are better
5:50 pm
landing spots for him than d.c. with this roster being what it is right now. >> if you're the shanahans, kyle or mike, why would you even consider doing this again with an over-the-hill quarterback, donovan mcnabb -- why would you possibly consider this again if they are? >> peyton manning if the shanahans did do this would feel this guy is going to do everything they ask of him. i think he would do everything they ask of him. >> you can't change peyton manning. >> but from the standpoint of would he do the things they asked him to do? yes whereas donovan didn't do that in their minds. i think that is why you would do it and also because if he is 75% of what he was it is still better than any other quarterback. >> peyton manning ends up in washington or no? >> i think no. >> spring training is a couple weeks awatch the big story bryce harper all throughout spring training. let's assume harper just kills it. okay. bats over .300. has a few home runs. do you put him on the opening
5:51 pm
day roster? >> at his age i still say no. i still say because if you do i still think it's rushing him no matter what he does there. but if he does do, if the scenario plays out the way you just said it then i could see there being a lot of pressure to do it, a lot of pressure internally, a lot of pressure externally. yeah it could happen but i personally would not do it. >> from a business standpoint it makes sense to start him down at triple-a, keep him there for a couple months because then you have him for another year. >> absolutely. really the only reason you would do it is if the external pressure from the fans got to be so much but i think the nationals would definitely try to resist doing that. >> he always talks about not liking the other d.c. teams. the wizards, the cams. i think it's just being immature. at what point do you think he'll wrap his arms around, hey, i want to be loved in the city i'm playing in? >> i don't know if he cares about being loved in the city he is playing in. this is a guy who is highly confident. some would say cocky. some would say very cocky.
5:52 pm
the mistake that's been made here, i don't know what the nationals have done to really counsel this kid, like look. you'll be the face of our organization. certain things you just cannot do. love the teams you love but don't put it out there in a way that can really enrage our fan base. so i don't know. maybe the nationals have done that but if they haven't someone needs to get to him because what's happening now doesn't need to happen. >> and you asked about jason's background, a baseball guy. covered the dodgers for the l.a. times so he knows the game very well. bryce harper, if everything goes according to plan, will be the biggest sports star in this town in two years bar none. >> wow. >> cool. >> he can have a beer in two years? is that right? >> he's 19 so still can't legally have a beer. >> all right. thank you. >> i'm writing that down, hellie. >> got my prediction. >> on record, dude. >> not all predictions come to fruition. >> what you got?
