tonight, the temperatures are dropping off. it's not as cold as last night. we are headed down to the upper 30s to mid-40s throughout the area. we have 55 degrees in frederick with full sunshine throughout the area. 56 in fredericksburg, virginia. stafford and charlottesville, 57 degrees. satellite and radar, hardly a cloud to be found across the area. but, tomorrow the clouds are going to be on the increase. we have showers and thunderstorms to talk about in the forecast for tomorrow. your good night forecast heading down to 51 with sunshine at 7:00. 48 by 11:00 p.m. under a very clear and starry sky. the fast forecast, not as cold for the overnight. we are going to get back to may. light conditions across the area. that means a warm up. rain for tomorrow and a shot of getting thunderstorms. we'll have the details on that coming up in a couple minutes.

>> thanks, veronica. a developing situation on a j jetblue flight from new york to las vegas. the captain experienced a medical emergency. this video was posted on youtube. the captain screamed and tried to get back into the cockpit. one passenger heard him scream bomb. they wrestled the captain to the floor. the plane landed in amarillo. that pilot was taken to a medical facility. a tragedy that rocked virginia. a former police sergeant is believed to have killed his daughter in an apparent murder suicide. police found the body of 13-year-old alex sis jackson inside a parked suv along with the body of her 40-year-old father. he's identified as john jackson, a 16 year veteran from the

police force. he left the force back in 2010. some neighbors were shocked to wake up to the news. >> my heart goes out to the family. like i said, i was sleeping inside. my dog started barking, we saw lights and didn't think anything of it. then woke up this morning, saw all the news trucks and came outside. it's sad. >> it happened outside the home of the 13-year-old's grandparents. pat collins will have the latest coming up here at 5:00 tonight. another twist in the case of an unarmed florida teen. city officials are investigating a leak of information that paints trayvon martin in a negative light. more demonstrations today. students from d.c.s school without walls marched to the white house for justice.

jay gray reports from sanford. >> reporter: as the parents of trayvon martin join leaders about hate crime, more about their son's life continue to surface. he had several brushes with administrators and security at his miami dade high school and was suspended at least three times. that as george zimmerman continues to insist martin started the demonstration, breaking his nose and slamming his head against the concrete. >> what's been released so far shows it wasn't george who is the aggressor, it was trayvon. >> reporter: police will only say the scenario is consistent with the evidence gathered. they are concerned about a leak of information in the case. >> we are looking into the leak, the so-called leak, if you will. there is an internal process

that is going to handle that situation. >> these leaks are an extension of some conspiracy on behalf of the sanford police department to exonerate mr. zimmerman for killing unarmed trayson martin. >> reporter: the 17-year-old has no history of violence. part of the picture he says police continue to ignore. >> there's never been a partial investigation. >> reporter: thousands across the country continue to protest and push for an arrest. it doesn't appear that will happen anytime soon. the grand jury isn't set to convene until the second week in april. in sanford, florida, jay gray, news 4. more trouble today for dominic strauss con khan. he's connected to a hotel

overshadowed when a private conversation was caught on video. president obama down played the exchange. pope benedict is now in havana on the second day of his cuban visit. he'll meet with raul castro. he made several speeches since arriving yesterday calling for change and renewal in the country. while there's room for economic and other improvements, there will not be political reform. it's the first government's response. mark potter has more on the historic visit. >> reporter: pope benedict visits a town to pay homage to the saint, the virgin of charity. he flies to see castro. he may meet with fidel castro, the leader. what they talk about has not been revealed publicly. in his speech yesterday, the

pope softened his message a bit from what he said on the plane. at his opening remarks yesterday at the airport in cuba, he called himself a pilgrim of charity and said he would play for cuban justice, peace, freedom and reconciliation. he spoke on behalf of the cuban catholic church. raul castro railed against what he calls the injustices of the american trade embargo against cuba. an interesting twist and reconciliation between cuban exiles and those here on the island, the archbishop of miami will come here to this historic cathedral from miami and celebrating a mass here. mark potter, nbc news in havana, cuba. back to you. a pittsburgh man is accused of trying to steal the identity of the world's richest man.

suicide. they found the bodies of john jackson and 13-year-old alexis jackson overnight. john jackson worked for the fairfax county police department for 16 years before he left the force in 2010. the second day of oral arguments on the health care law wrapped up. the biggest issue and the justice's returned to it repeatedly. can the government force americans to buy health insurance? news about a slip in the consumer confidence index dragged on stocks today. the dow losing 43 points to close at 13,197. nasdaq down two and s&p off by four. job interviews can be stressful enough. questions about your experience, grilling you about your qualifications. >> now, companies want details about your private life to get

take a look at this crash. it was tho accident. police say two people rammed a stolen jeep into this jewelry store in akron, ohio over the weekend. they were trying to break in to steal the goods. the destruction continued once they got into the store.

they smashed the display cases with hammers. there you go. police chased the suspects. they managed to jump out of the jeep and away. officers recovered the stolen jewelry and the truck. the suspects are still on the loose. whale watchers have a whale of a tale to tell. take a look. it began friday off the coast of southern california. they spotted a 30-foot long gray whale tangled in a huge fishing net. rescuers were called in to get it untaj v untangled. they think the whale was making a migratory trip from baja up to alaska. >> glad they got it out of the net. new information and video of this

there is new video out today that shows what a wild, high speed chase involving a school bus looks like. eddie garcia shows us what happened last month in new mexico. >> reporter: a stolen school bus barrelling out of control down i-40 toward albuquerque. police had seconds to figure out what was going on and had serious concerns.

>> any kids on the bus? >> reporter: the driver stole the bus from the bus yard in albuquerque. drove it 80 miles west of town. when he was spotted there, turned back toward albuquerque. it was after 6:30 and the city was in morning rush hour. they had to act fast. >> see if we can get it done closer to albuquerque. >> reporter: they put together a plan to stop the bus in its tracks. >> i'm setting up a spike belt. >> reporter: he barrelled through spike strips driving the bus on rims. he's entering the outskirts of albuquerque. police had to try something more extreme. this state police officer used his car to try to stop the bus for almost 30 miles but the bus was too big. the chase was inside albuquerque approaching the most congested
