student there. they say he shot his first victims in the classroom and carried on with the killing spree. as he wandered through the building. in all ten people, all of them adults were shot. seven are dead. goh under arrest. he took a victim's car and surrendered to police at a nearby grocery store. >> stood up in the class. started firing. shot one guy in the chest. once you know, he started firing like crazy. >> today's unprecedented tragedy was shocking and senseless. no words can express the gravity of these offenses and the pain caused by this incident. >> oikos, a private christian university that caters to the korean-american community in oakland. tonight churches in the area are banding together to provide crisis counseling. there will be a memorial service tomorrow night. investigators meanwhile say they still don't know a motive for the shooting. jim, doreen?

>> jim, thank you. a passenger handcuffed after an assault on a metro bus driver in northwest d.c. tonight. it happened around macpherson square on a bus headed for friendship heights. metro police arrived after some one called 911. they arrest aid man they say appeared to be intoxicated. they say the bus driver had minor injuries. more than 80 women reported being groped or worse aboard metro last year. not of transit agency stepping in with a new effort. jackie benson joins us from gaele gallery place/china town station. jackie. >> reporter: the new campaign addresses sexual harassment of female riders. >> the red line train. >> reporter: a crowded train. you are stuck. it happens. >> just come up to you. start talking to you. saying, dang you look good. >> the dozens of sexually base owed fences reported in the

metro system range from aggressive, unwanted advances to groping and rape. handing out fliers announcing the tran asit agency has a new website making it easier to report being sexually harassed. >> the program is based on those used by transit in boston and new york. many female rids we spoke to were surprise to hear of the problems. >> i usually ride during business hours. i don't really feel in danger. >> reporter: metro says educating its employees is also a part of it. >> to make sure all of our staff is well aware of the need and importance of taking claims of sexual harassment within the system seriously. >> reporter: since metro began that website and it is real simple, wmata.harassment. since they began in mid march they got more than a dozen

complaints. doreen, back to you. >> thank you, jackie. >> surprising announcement from the a member of virginia's house of delegates. he announce heed will not seek re-election. in his statement, he admitted he has been unfaithful to his wife. hea . he was first elected in 2005. >> an investigative, impartial grand jury will decide whether a culpeper, virginia police officer will face charges in the shooting death of a woman. an officer shot and killed 54-year-old patricia cook in a church parking lot earlier this year. state police say cook tracked the officer's arm in her car window and started to drive away. one witness has come forward to say the officer's arm was not stuck in the window. the panel will begin its review in may and likely issue a decision by june. >> police in fairfax county want the public help to make wooded areas safer. this comes in the whaake of sex

minutes. >> thank you, doug. airfare, hotel rooms in las vegas. team buildinger exsi er exercis $75,000 a pop. the spending scandal that cost a job. angie goff reports from the news 4 super screen. angie? >> the white house reacted to the spending scandal this evening hours after a report by "the washington post" that a general service administration conference held in las vegas cost taxpayers nearly $1 million. according to that report, the gsa spent thousands of dollars or things luke a clown, a comedienne, and expensive meals. now, on this list, $3,200 for a mind reader. and then, $6,300 for commemorative coin display. and finally, $75,000 for a team building exercise where they built a bike now. that along with airfare, hotel t. and other expenses, totaled an astounding $823,000.

the white house issued a statement declaring president obama's outrage over the incident today. it called the spending a gross misuse of taxpayer dollars. adding that it is entirely inconsistent with the president's ex-pepresident president's expectations. nar johnson resigned saying the agency made a significant misstep. two top deputies were fired. replaced by former d.c. administrator, dan tingerlinie. the white house directed all agencies to review conference spending last year. cases look this don't help in an election year when the president is drawing criticism for what some call excessive spending. >> there were heated civilized words to night between the d.c. mayor vincent gray, and marion barry. to go over the 2013 budget forward 8. barry said he was unhappy with the fact the meeting was held on the eve of primary elections since that create aid

no word on a deadly pedestrian accident involving a trash truck in columbia heights. the truck hit a man 2:00 this afternoon in an alley near harvard and columbia roads northwest. police have not released the victim's identity. a wild scene in atlantic city. take a close look. surveillance video captured glimpses of a car speeding down the boardwalk. people walking on the boardwalk had to dive out of the way. police say the driver was drunk. even as passengers bailed out. the chase ended at a tollbooth on the atlantic city expressway. the driver charged with multiple offenses including dui. unusual hit-and-run at a gas station. one driver ran over a diesel pump not once but twice. in stamping ground, kentucky. the driver first smashed into the pump as the car pulled unearly one morning last week. then 13 minutes later, that car hit the diesel pump again as it was leaving. authorities aren't sure why all

this happened. some people think rising gasoline price maze be to blame. federal prosecutors want a jetblu air captain head without bond. pilot clayton osborne had his court hearing. charged with interfering with a flight crew which carries a prison sentence up to 20 years. he started actingrratically from a flight from new york to las vegas. >> potential witnesses to the shooting of trayvon martin are being questioned bite fbi agents visited the neighborhood in florida where martin was kid. they did that today. they're trying to uncover the events that led neighborhood watch volunteer george zimmerman to shoot and kill him. zimmerman has not been charged or seen publicly. his lawyer says zimmerman will surrendered if charges areified. >> fire fighters had a challenging fire at the top of a

moscow skyscraper tonight. it took crews three hours to put out the flames on the federation tower. the building is under construction and will soon be the tallest in europe. the fire started when plastic sheeting came in contact with a spotlight illuminating a work area. incredibly nobody was injured here. now to a scary scene on an icy highway. a tow truck trying to rescue a tractor-traileren norway when both trucks went off the road and tumbles down a cliff. the driver of the tow truck jumped out in type. the driver of the stranded truck wasn't as fortunate. he survived the 200 foot fall. but came out with several broken bones. that driver is lucky to be alive after that. my goodness. >> wow. >> so, we got some cold weather coming in tonight. overnight huh? >> we do. not here yet. walk outside now, 5 degrees. >> brought my coat. i won't need it. >> put it clos to te to the doo
