5:19 pm
there will be some isolated spots though that pick up about an inch of rain. but those will be few and those will be mainly down to the south of us. south of d.c. and i'll explain why in a moment. 70 degrees our temperature. the wind light at 3 miles per hour. throughout the area nice and mild. upper 60s. low 70s hanging on there up in frederick. 68 in gaithersburg. 70 degrees currently over in la plata and waldorf. so for your evening it's going to be nice. we'll drop to 62 by 11:00 p.m. nice and starry. then we'll see a few clouds around the area tomorrow. very few high clouds. but there will also be patchy fog to start your day tomorrow. fog that'll burn off rather quickly. our radar is dry and quiet as we talk about that next weather system that will start moving in. first high pressure for tomorrow. but as it moves out, by friday night, the clouds will be on the increase. there is our weather front coming eastbound and then what we were talking about yesterday, is that it looks stormy even wet throughout the day on sunday. but this area of low pressure i think is going to stay far
5:20 pm
enough off the coast as it moves northward and will get very close to the area on sunday. so rain could hang on sunday up until about noon, maybe 1:00. i'm still going with some a.m. showers so the cold front first then the area of low pressure for sunday. but we're not going to get them both together. nonetheless, though, some storms for your afternoon. showers will develop early in the day on saturday. about 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. after 2:00 p.m. on saturday, expect some thunderstorms that could bring, well, some hail, maybe some high winds to the area as far as rainfall. there is the area of low pressure for sunday. skirting just to the south. so maybe over an inch of rain, pax river, fredericksburg, lighter amounts to the north. as far as our forecast here for the evening, fantastic. 58 to 65 degrees. for your morning a little on the cool side. 47 to 55. likely you need a jacket when you're stepping out the door again. and then we lose the jacket. we're a couple degrees higher than today. quite nice for getting outside.
