6:19 pm
we were in the 50s throughout most of the day. but from 50 to 72 your low and high temperature there, the average high 68 degrees. our rainfall deficit still over 5 inches so we need more of that beneficial rain. when we had 0.07 at reagan national with the last system that came through. right now we're at 70 and just a few high clouds out there currently. the wind light so it's a real nice evening, too. as far as the rest of the area, the neighborhoods up around frederick in the 70s. 70 in manassas. 70 in d.c. 70 in fredericksburg. we'll be dropping off and it is going to be cool by tomorrow morning. like this morning we had fog around the area. we'll have more patchy fog tomorrow. upper 40s to low 50s. and a cool start, too, for us but at least the wind is going to be light, right, for tomorrow morning. all right. here is what is going on. on radar we don't have anything to show. satellite either. just high clouds coming through. a system that is gathering moisture right now off to the

west. our radar at least locally is not showing anything but open it up to the midwest and you can see that rain moving right into minneapolis. we've got rain around chicago. in fact, thunderstorms right now in areas of southeastern minnesota. that's just part of the system that's going to affect our area for the weekend. there is another part that is going to be an area of low pressure developing off the coast. so as far as rainfall with the last system, a few hundredths to maybe a quarter inch a lot of neighborhoods i think around d.c., areas just to the north about a half inch of rain and a few spots around southern maryland down through the northern neck could get as much as an inch of rain. so over the next 48 hours, nice conditions overnight. great start to the day tomorrow. pretty nice finish, too. but it's late friday night with that next front that we'll see clouds gathering. rain comes into the areas around ohio and west virginia. here we are early at saturday morning. you see the rain mainly to the west. there will be clouds around the area but showers will develop
