up. new this morning, police are investigating a deadly shooting in northeast washington. officers arrived a little after 1:30 this morning to the 600 block of edgewood street. police don't have any information on who may be responsible for the shooting or motive. and then the elks large on solomon island road is where three people were stabbed after 1:00 this morning. all three are expected to survive. police have not said what may have led to that stabbing. new details in a string of attacks in d.c. a man who police say could be responsible for those attacks is behind bars this morning. a judge ordered michael davis to be held in jail without bond charged with two assaults in the

petworth community. one victim came forward friday saying he was struck from behind. police say he identified davis in a photo lineup. he faces charges in an assault of a woman on thursday night. officers heard her cries for help and say they arrested davis after spotting him in a nearby alley. police are exploring a possible link between those assaults, and three others including a death of a tourist from colorado. and police arrested nathan rogers and charged him with the murder of his girlfriend. she did not show up for work on friday and police found her body friday night in a car. moss' friends say she was a wonderful person who was thrilled to be having a child. >> he was excited about buying items for the baby.

it's strange to think a week ago we were talking about snow come into the area and today it's all sunshine. >> we like it for sure. this is our second april in a row because march was so warm it felt like april. here at the end of april number two we get to transition into a summery pattern. if you were longing for the 80-degree weather to come back, you won't have to long much longer. now that the sun is here today, that's it. we get blue skies from here on out. the fog burning away now that the strong late april sunshine is out there. it will be out there for an extended period of time. 51 at national airport. a light breeze, and the winds will be light today. 5 to 10 miles per hour, and not such a windy day today.

string of grenada tacks since kenya sent troops in somalia. a dramatic end to a manhunt for a tpaoupblg teuf in washington state. police say they found a body of a man in a bunker, and he was wanted for killing his family. police say keller killed his wife and daughter and then set the home on fire. pictures led police to an underground bunker. by the time a swat team reached him, he st and killed himself. he spent eight years stocking the bunker with guns, ammunition and propane tanks. >> we are dealing with somebody who had eight years to prepare. >> tremendous work done by a lot of people. >> police are now trying to make sure the bunker is free of traps
