>> washington is wild about hair harry. >> overtime, caps/rangers. this one took a few minutes. >> two breaking news stories -- an arrest in a case of road rage in virginia. gloria mcmilllan hit and killed a woman with her suv. it happened after an altercation in fairfax county noon friday. mcmillan on the run until tonight. >> a young woman in the hospital after being attacked by a rotweiller. police say the victim was walking her parents' dog when the rotweiller attacked and bit her face. we are told the woman who is 24 years old lost her lips and will need plastic surgery. that dog is quarantined in its owner's home for ten days. >> to a bomb plot, foiled by the c if a before it got off the ground.

that bomb was met for a u.s. bound plane and could have made it through metal detectors overseas. the fbi has possession of the device here in our area. pete williams with the latest. >> reporter: the target was to be a passenger airliner bound for the u.s. officials say no specific flight had been chosen and no ticket purchased. they say the plot was to originate in yemen and the potential suicide bomber had been identified. the plan to use an upgraded version of the underwear bomb worn by a man who fried tried t it off in 2009. it failed to work and caught fire. he is serving life in prison. this lateest atempt officials say included a different detonation system and no metal parts. officials say the u.s. its evaluating whether the late dooes vice could have been detected by airport full body scanners devices deployed here at overseas airports for u.s. bound flights. the bomb was intercepted,

brought to the u.s. and is now being examined at fbi crime laboratory in quantico, virginia. technicians will see whether based on the design any changes should be made to u.s. airport security. jim, doreen. >> open after a bizarre accident this evening. state police say a car pulled out from the shoulder, right into the path of a van near sudley road. after the vehicles collided the driver of the car, apparently ran into traffic, and jumped up on several vehicles even smashed the windshield of one of them. a driver was later flown to a hospital. nobody injured. >> two montgomery school authorities were arrested, on a charge of child pornography and sex abuse here, resigned as media services tech at northwood high school in silver spring. parents there are upset. >> i believe it is terrible the i never seen this man before. he is not familiar to be.

it is terrible. >> also today a staff member at neelsville middle school in german tount waswn was arrested. inappropriate contact with a minor. school officials refuse to comment. >> local radio host who died last month is accused of embezzling $500,000 from a volunteer fire department. his name was paul draisy, long time personality on the radio in loudon county and served as treasurer. and draisy stole the money over three years. he died of a gunshot wound on april 16th. investigators don't think foul play was involved in that. >> to a news 4 exclusive. a group of metro riders, track and tackle a thief. jackie benson, narrates the chase through the van ness station. >> reporter: it happened in april. people were getting off a red

negotiate with al qaeda for his release. nbc news cannot verify where or when this video was produced. police say it was speed that caused a crash that killed two high school students in hagerstown. brandon and samantha were killed saturday night when the car went off the road and hit a tree. they were on their way from the prom home to change clothes. both kids were honor role students and standout athletes in hagerstown. a jury convicted five men in d.c. south capital street massacre. one of the bloodiest shooting sprees in the recent history. prosecutors say the men murdered five people and wound the several others during a series off takes in march of 2010. an argue amount bout a fake diamond bracelet is what started it all. the men will be sentenced on september 11th. tomorrow, a group of lawyers will go to court in hampton roads, virginia in an effort to save a degree's life. a st. bernard scheduled to be

out towards the west. in through the panhandle of west virginia. that's where we have the best chances to see rain tomorrow. look at warm air out to the west. 83, morgantown. 84, charleston. to the east. philly. 62, ocean city. see the warmer temperatures move in. get some instability. and i think we will get warmer. temperatures move into the upper 70s. 80 during the day tomorrow. and the cold front. back around the front. washington. on the dry side around the i-95 corridor. out to the west. panhandle. western portions of virginia. shen dougha. west everyone maryland. all pretty good chance of rain. and then the front moves through. that's where we will see our chances of rain. probably tomorrow evening. most of the day is going to be on the dry side. then wednesday. another fairly dry day. another chance of ran moving in. a couple of thunderstorms there too. i am not anticipating a washout either day. xwrut may get lucky and have a thunderstorm kind of sit on top of you. maybe producing a half in. of rain. need to see it. mostly cloudy tomorrow morning.
