to hollywood. tonight we know what filmmakers learns about the osama bin laden raid. >> plus, gary giordano arrested in annapolis. the man suspected in an unsolved death in aruba caught with a woman in the back of a car. >> a horrible crash at rosecroft raceway. several horses and drivers were injured. helicopters were called in to medevac some of those injured. angie goff is at the track with more. >> good evening, jim. as you mentioned, a terrible accident here at rosecroft race away. we're hearing around 9:00 p.m., several horses and carts collided and in the end, three drivers in those carts were seriously hurt with nonlife-threatening injuries. >> prince george's fire and rescue confirms two drivers riding in the harness were airlifted to the trauma center. both lost consciousness but were conscious by the time of transports. they could have possible head

injuries. a third driver was taken by med dix. the race happened during race five. a trainer at the track described the scene. >> the horse on the front end paid a break, went sideways. dottie russell couldn't get out of the way in time. that horse clipped that horse and he went down which caused a chain reaction. then multiple horses run over donnie russell. billy carter went down on the horse on the front and my understanding is justin height went down and broke his leg. >> known as the raceway by the beltway, this track is 60 years old and hosted the second leg of the triple crown of harness. it shut down in 2010 and reopened last year. >> an unfortunate start this season during the new era of rosecroft racing. officials radioed incoming units as they responded to the scene, told them to turn off sirens so they wouldn't scare the lorss. we're seeing a side of that

tonight. none of the horses were hurt and the sign of that right behind this building on the tracks, the six remaining races continuing. reporting live from maryland, angie goff, news4. >> taking a look outside tonight, some areas are beginning to see rain. in other areas, it will move in overnight. that's not good news for neighborhoods that saw flooding this morning and worry what a few more inches could mean. doug, what's going on? >> we're seeing the very heavy rain moving in across the area. much of our day on the dry side. that was news we all needed around prince william and loudoun county. now here comes the rain again. it's a line of thunderstorms moving in from the north and then another line down to the south. both of these producing very heavy rain right now. this one right now coming through winchester around blue mont and making its way around shep herdstown and through charles town.

see this green line? that is the gust front with 20, 30, even 40-mile-an-hour winds. a lot of lightning with the storms and they will continue to the south of winchester. just south of culpeper, i would not be surprised to see a flash flood warning out with this. all of this just around the areas highlighted here in green, a flash flood watch in effect through 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. these were the areas hit hardest during the storms last night. we'll have much more in a minute. the possibility of more flooding overnight is the last thing some people in parts of virginia want to hear. an area now where some people had to evacuate their homes. >> that's right. some moeks who live near lake jackson tell us they are definitely concerned about potential rain overmight. i talked to firefighters at the lake jackson volunteer fire department. they are bracing for another potential round of heavy rain. >> my concern is that this water's going to keep coming up.

>> john all bright lives in jackson county where heavy downpours caused the water tore rise and swallow his boat dock. >> we couldn't clear a lot of these things out. >> the water level at lake jackson risen above norm after last night's thunderstorms. >> reporter: so hard people in two homes near the lake evacu e evacuated. >> it lasted awhile. >> tonight emergency officials told me the dam is open and they're monitoring the water levels. an inch of rain in an hour could cause the same increase and streams that flooded last night to do it again. the rain caused a sinkhole, flooded farmland, roads, bridges and intersections. although most of the water has receded, john fears it will come back with a vengeance over the next couple days. >> if it keeps coming like this, it's going to definitely get worse. >> now, crews are on stand by. they tell us they are closely monitoring the weather forecast

and going to keep an eye on it. one guy is going to look at nbcwashington.com. live here in prince william county, i'm shi marry stone news4. >> tonight news questions about how much access was given to filmmakers documenting the raid on osama bin laden's compound. win wendy rieger has the story. >> washington insiders granting unprecedented access to highly classified information about the raid on osama bin laden's compound. providing it to filmmakers. judicial watch.org claims it's true. the white house says it's not. through the freedom of information act, judicial watch obtained documents that reveal director kathryn bigelow received access from the pentagon and the cia to the commander of the navy s.e.a.l. team 6. that commander reportedly planned the raid last year. navy s.e.a.l. teams and commanders are never to be revealed to anybody for fear of

retribution to them or their families or the possibility they could be tortured to giveaway key information. judicial watch also claims that kathryn bigelow spoking to john brennan, the white house chief counter-terrorism adviser and that the secrets about the raid on osama bin laden's compound were meant for a film that was first scheduled to be released this october just a month before the presidential election. the white house said tonight that the agencies involved cooperate with a lot of movies, both documentaries and feature films. jay carney has previously said nothing was given to these filmmakers that has not been given to journalists. the film is now scheduled for release in december. jim? >> thanks. tonight, four secret service agents caught up in the colombian scandal are fighting dismissal. the government official tells nbc news some of the agents will contest their firing on grounds they didn't know the women were prostitutes.

others will reportedly argue their behavior is not prohibited. two dozen secret service and military brrnl implicated in that scandal last month in the colombia preparing for president obama's visit to that country. >> tonight there is no evidence of any real threat follow a body bomb south carolina on a flight from paris to charlotte. a woman passed a note claiming she had a device surgically implanted in her body. two fighter jets escorted the flight to the bangor, maine, as a precaution. passengers were initially told the plane needed to refuel. once they landed they could see it was much more serious. >> as we were landing, you could see all the ambulances and police cars and it wasn't just one for a medical emergency. there was ten of them. >> the fbi questioned the woman who caused can the problem on the flight. the flight was cleared to continue to charlotte a few hours later. of a man from maryland, the only suspect in the disappearance of a woman in aruba, is now facing new legal

troubles closer to home. police say gary giordano was found having sex inside an suv in a garage in downtown annapolis. jackie bensen reports and we want to alert you, some of the details might be considered graphic. >> reporter: it was friday night in the downtown harbor area of annapolis. police officers were called to a parking garage on goreman street for a report something unsettling was going on in the black of a black cadillac escalade. >> we had a customer complain they saw something going on that shouldn't be going on in the car. i went up and checked it out. it did appear that there was something. i made the call to the cops. >> the police report says officers were directed to the second level and there found a situation that resulted in 51-year-old gary giordano of gaithersburg and a woman, 45-year-old caring and bock of springfield, tennessee arrested and charged with indecent exposure. as the officers approached the

rear of the suv, one of them could see his exposed genitals through the window. the officer also stated that the two people were on a mattress in the cargo area of the vehicle. documents say the officers instructed the couple to put their clothes on and that giordano had been found completely nude. annapolis police chief told us while we recognize that he enjoys an infamous reputation, the arrest was simply a responseton citizen complaints. he was jailed for months in aruba in connection with the disappearance of robyn gardner. she's never been found. no one charged in her disappearance. gee or dan foe and bok both face jailtime for a hefty fine if convicted. i spoke to him by phone this evening. he said he would not comment on this matter. jackie bensen, news4. >> tonight a former campaign aide admits wrongdoing in connection to a year-long criminal probe of vincent gray's

2010 campaign. thomas gore pleaded guilty today to felony lying and destruction of evidence. he admitted to using gray campaign funds to illegally donate to the a candidates in exchange for a tax on then mayor adrian fenty running against gray. gore's lawyer responded to requests about any possible involvement of mayor gray. >> nothing in the statement of offense mentions any participation by mayor gray in anything. >> i believe that the government will charge additional people. whether i represent them or not, i don't know. >> the judge delayed sentencing indefinitely while the criminal investigation continues. an openly gay prosecutor in virginia now has a second opportunity to be a judge. tracee thorn begman could still be named to the richmond circuit court on an interim basis according to a report in the richmond times dispatch. the virginia house of delegates rejected his appointment last

month. delegate bob marshall said that his stand on gay marriage could have an impact on his decision. he would still need approval by the house new january to receive a permanent spot. >> vdot faces a discrimination lawsuit for two nooses allegedly displayed in the workplace. keith says he saw the nooses as the an office near roanoke and says he got an indirect threat and that's when he quit the job fearing for his life. vdot issued a statement saying employees were disciplined for a racial harassment complaint. >> joe paterno's family will receive a 13.5 million pension from penn state. the widow will get $10 million. the family plans to donate more than $1 million to charity. paterno died in january just a few months after penn state fired him in the middle of a child sex abuse scandal

involving another coach. >> subpoenas went out to morgan stan little tonight following facebook's disappointing performance on wall street. the bank is accused of sharing inside information. they allegedly told investors the stock wasn't as valuable as expected. it fell to $31 a share tonight. >> imagine being told there's a snake in your yard. you walk out and see this wrapped around a tree. >> president reagan's family is reacting that a vial of his blood is being auctioned off overseas. >> with parking at a premium, we'll show you one space that's going for a million bucks. >> doug's working to update his forecast. he's back, next.

imagine finding this ginormous 20-foot snake in your yard. a south carolina man found it in his tree. he thinks it's a python. he's not letting his 3-year-old son into the yard till he knows that snake is gone. animal officials think it's a big black rat snake. rat snakes are not poisonous and can actually keep more dangerous snakes away. tonight, president reagan's family is angry that an auction house claims to be selling a vial of the late president's blood. the auction house is in great britain and it says the blood was taken at gw hospital after

the president was shot back in 1981. bids have already reached more than $14,000. president's son michael called the auctions outrageous. he says he is confident it is not his father's blood. officials at gw hospital tell the family they are investigating. comic bookstores are buzzing tonight over this one. d.c. comics is on the verge of having one of its main heroes come out as gay sometime in a future issue. d.c. comics produces superman, batman it, aquaman and the flash among others. the company isn't saying which character is involved but do claim it's a main player. an official with the comics says the policy on gay characters as evolved like president obama's view on gay marriage. >> update on an animal rescue. a fox stuck in a drain pipe last night is now safe and sound we're told. fairfax crews caught the fox and

released him into the wild unharmed. that's good. we're glad that pox is going to be okay. and now we want to know what's going to happen with our weather tonight, doug. >> that was a long look down that pipe right there, wasn't it. >> still couldn't see him. >> we've got storms out there right now. those storms continuing to make their way in. the big concern once again is going to be the potential for some flooding. and almost the same areas that saw it last night. if you saw heavy rain last night, you probably live in prince william or loudoun county, the same areas that get rain tonight. and yes, could see flooding return. watch out out there. once again, never drive through flooded roadways. we saw a guy do it this morning. don't do it again. we'll continue to see rain not just tonight but through tomorrow. highs up tonight up to 80 degrees. nearly five inches it of rain, still below average at the airport. some areas saw three to five inches last night.

the airport only saw about .005 inch of rain. we'll get some tomorrow. 71. partly cloudy skies. winds ought about five miles an hour. currently, cooler to the west. that's where we've seen the rain. 61 in winchester. still very warm ahead of the system. 71 in fredericksburg. here's the rain, one to the north and one to the south. i do think they're going to try to merge together. most likely americaning over to the prince william county. watch out there. we'll do a couple of zooms. this line starting to fall part just a little bit. not quite as strong as it was a little bit earlier. as you can see, it's right along wrout 7 in towards cabletown around the millwood area and south of stephen city making its way off toward the south and east. not moving too fast. right now dumping .01 to a .25 inch of rain. this is the area of heavy rain

around orange county, they've picked up 2 to 3 inches. we could see some warnings out of this. but it is making its way toward the east, too, so fredericksburg, spotsylvania county, watch out. you are next as far as the heavy rain is concerned. faulk year county, prince william, back to the west, these areas have a flash flood watch in effect till 6:00 tomorrow morning. watch out for that. the wider picture now, their isn't the only area of rain. this area down to the south, notice the spin down here, an upper area of low pressure is that is going to move our way. we have a much better chance of seeing strong thunderstorms and rain during the day tomorrow. so it could be another very wet afternoon. thursday, guess what, more of the same. more showers and thunderstorms likely. it may not be quite as widespread. tomorrow morning, heads up. we could see some areas of fog, some of that fog could be dense.

steve tolleson facing felix. that is a home run. tolleson, his first of the year. just the second of his career puts the orioles up 2-0. on this night it was enough for brian. gets adrien gonzalez for his ninth strikeout of the game. that ties a career high. goes 6 1/3, gives up just two hits and one run. the orioles win 4-1 after an 0-3 april, mad des now 4-1 in the month of may. complete domination by the heat tonight. lebron nearly outscored the pacers top three players all by himself. miami now in control of that series and one game away from advancing to the eastern conference finals. dwyane wade, lebron combined for 70 points in the last game. second quarter, wade gets whacked across the head by tyler hansbrough. he'd be okay.
