new video of john hinckley walking around in public in virginia on a visit to see his mother. first tonight, breaking news in the district. an entire firehouse gets sick after returning from the scene of a suspected drug lab. jackie bensen's in the trinidad neighborhood of northeast with details. jackie? >> reporter: doreen, it was quite a scene here at station 31 earlier this evening. the entire on-duty shift was taken out of here for medical treatment. the call came in about 8:30 p.m. d.c. fire and ems staff on duty at the engine 10 station located on florida avenue in the city's trinidad nibd of northeast noticed they were experiencing breathing problems and itchy eyes. officials declared a mass casualty incident and called for a special bus which took eight firefighters to the city

maintained police and fire clinic to be checked out. other firefighters from around the city were sent to replace them so the station would remain functioning. now, this is where it gets unusual. a d.c. fire official tells news 4 tonight that these affected had responded to a fire at a suspected pcp lab earlier today and may possibly have been exposed to something hazardous. reporting live in northeast washington, jackie bensen, news 4. breaking news tonight in new england. a fire burning outside a nuclear powered sub docked along the coast of maine. we know that four people have been injured in the fire on board the "uss miami." officials say the reactor on board was not operating nor was it affected by the fire. now to those storms out there tonight. there's a new cell bubbling up. we're told it could cause trouble in the next hour. doug? >> really an amazing day. we've had a number of thunderstorms out there, so many people seeing a lot of rain,

"w" street northwest on may 10th. police say the attack happened after a condo resident asked a man to pick up his discarded beer can. several days and his jaw remains wired shut as a result of his injuries. a child was hit by a car in southeast. it happened at south capitol street and southern avenue. the child was crossing the street with her mother at the time. police gave the driver that hit the child a ticket. he's back since being hospitalized in las vegas for a blood clot that developed in his leg. he was in vegas for a retail coenti convention. >> i'm feeling great. i had a blood clot. caught it in time. >> marion berry's appearance was

for a d.c. public schools meeting. we're seeing new video of the man who shot president reagan, video of him walking the streets in virginia even though undecided. wendy rieger is here with more on this. first time we've seen hinckley out in public. he's now 56 years old and able to walk around in publicci this video shows hinckley casually strolling in williamsburg where his mother lives. it's been more than 30 since he shot hinckley's stayed in maryland. but he has been able to visit his mother in williamsburg for ten days a dozen times a year. our sister station asked him about hisdñt;p which waso 's day. >> sir, do you think it's okay for you to be here? i'm just curious. you understand your neighbor's

factor. nice and mild. 63 in leesburg. here's the radar. you can see what's been happening. notice the district, high and dry at the moment. still a few showers to the north. look down to the south. more thunderstorms developing at this hour. these just picked up over the last hour or so. take a look at the rain that we've seen throughout the day today. portions of montgomery county around the gaithersburg area, 1.2 inches, columbia, maryland, 2.9 inches. 1.2 into central portions of fairfax county. 3.6 inches. and prince william county, nearly 3.1 inches of rain, just to the south of manassas. they need a break. notice southern maryland, nothing down here during the day today. that's about to change. let's talk about that flood warning yet again for the third consecutive night a flood

warning in effect for prince s manassas. do not drive through flooded roadways.víñ the rain moving up along 270. 340es of th most of this moving down. but look at this. very heavy downpours right now across this region. show you exactly where this is. this is route 6. just to the north coming around the marbury area, we're going to continue to watch as another system moves across the potomac and down the potomac in toward st. mary's county. this is where we're going to be seeing that very heavy storm right here, right along the coast. this one has a ton of lightning with it and rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour. watch out if you're there. that area of low pressure to our south continues to sit and spin here. it is starting to move to the north and east. that's going to be good news for us tomorrow.
