of her own horses running, but it's her day to just enjoy it and shine. kicking off her long weekend of jubilee celebrations. the epsom here has been running since 1780, and, in fact, it inspired our kentucky derby, which the queen herself attended in 2007, fulfilling a longtime dream of hers. she has had a lifelong love of horses and racing, knows a lot about it. she even kept some of her horses in kentucky at times, has made several visits there. ten times, in fact, she has tried to win this race with one of her horses. so far, it hasn't happened. back to you. >> well, thank you very much, michelle. nice hat. we'll also get a behind the scenes look at the queen's diamond jubilee in the days ahead. our own doug kammerer is heading to london to cover all of the festivities. so look for his live reports beginning monday on news4 at 5:00. and then throughout our news4 platform of delivery services to you. let's go to kim martucci now

6:18 pm
that cold front through here yesterday. i think tomorrow it's going to try to stir a shower up, but it should mainly skirt by along the mason dixon line and points north. so i do believe most of our monday will -- excuse me, sunday, will be dry and nice. and if you're headed to the beach tomorrow, we're looking at a mostly sunny day at ocean city. the water temperature is 68. and they're looking at a high tomorrow of 78. here comes that little trough i talked about. by tomorrow morning, we're all clear and good to go. it's the afternoon where a few showers try to fire up. this map looks more ominous than what we're going to see. most of the day dry, but keep a weather eye to the sky up to the north tomorrow if you live in northern frederick, washington or oral allegheny counties, you might see a shower. and monday morning, all over again, with comfortable low temperatures and a nice day planned for you into monday afternoon. so in writing, this is how the forecast goes. a nice evening ahead. partly cloudy and comfortable. the sun goes down at 8:28, and
6:19 pm
we will see our temperatures go from where they are right now of 74 down to 65 by 11:00 with a northwest wind, 5 to 10. by tomorrow morning, we'll still have the partly cloudy skies around. but instead of 60s, we will have 50s in place. and that 52 is a low forecasted for cumberland. 60 would be closer to the warmer water of the bay. so annapolis, that would be your low. we'll cut the difference in the middle right around 57 downtown d.c. with a west wind, 5 to 10. extending the forecast into tomorrow, a nice one, 74 to 79. and, again, that shower for our northern suburbs. how about into the workweek? we don't bring any rain in here until tuesday and wednesday. we have 40% chances both those days. but notice we'll go from a high of 80 on monday down into the lower and middle 70s tuesday and wednesday. then thursday, we still have showers around, still lower 70s. friday and saturday should be improving, and we see a warming trend coming up by then. at least back to average. average high this time of year is right around 80 degrees. and that's what we're looking at
