murder of teenager trayvon martin turned himself in to police yesterday. george zimmerman's bond was revoked friday after the judge said he failed to disclose around $135,000 he had set up three his website. jay gray reports. >> reporter: after six weeks george zimmerman is back in jail. >> he's quiet and cooperative. >> reporter: the 28-year-old who shot and killed trayvon martin turned himself in on sunday, two days after judge kenneth lester revoked his bond. >> i find good bond exists. >> reporter: the decision came after prosecutors argued that during his initial bond hearing zimmerman and his wife hid the fact that theyed that raised money through his website. >> it was misleading and i don't know what other words to use other than it was a blatant lie. >> reporter: zimmerman's attorneys countered that it was a mistake, not a lie. >> if it was therein tent, why would they disclose to me the

first day it was discussed and why did he follow all of the money i asked him to follow it the day i asked him to follow it. >> reporter: zemerman is charged with the second degree death of mar on the. late thursday martin's attorney says the bomd ruling calls into question the fact that he used self-defense. >> we think it is the most important ruling so far in this entire case. >> certainly as mr. crumb said there's a credibbility question that they need to explain away what they did. >> reporter: an explanation they hope to offer judge lester during a bond hearing they will ask for in the next few days. well, overseas it is a horrific scene this morning in nigeria's largest city after a jetliner slammed into a business neighborhood sunday killing everyone onboard in the second air disaster in that country's

history in days. it also kled an unknown number of people on the ground. a military official says ta pilot reported engine trouble. >> reporter: moments from touchdown the aircraft crashed into a residential area. the weather was good when the plane appeared to land on a two-story building striking a store and apartments. >> translator: my children were outside playing ball. e with asked them to look up because the plane was about to land on top of my head. the minute it passed, it bent. it was going down. >> reporter: many people were home when the jet fell from the sky. thousands poured outside trying to find survivors in the wreckage. >> you could still see the painting from the airline company on the side of the wreckage but from there up the cabin of the plane had been

destroyed and due to rubble. >> reporter: government say all passengers and crew, around 150 feared dead with more likely casualties on the ground. nigeria has a poor air safety record. they're trying to find out what caused a cargo plane to crash in ne nearby ghana. >> that was nbc's reporter reporting. well, shifting gears on a much lighter note, london's biggest party of the year, not counting the olympics, of course, is off and running. more than a million people joined in the fun as the royal family kicked off the queen's diamond jubilee marking her remarkable six decades on the throne. it was a scene watched all the way around the world. we're taken to the floetding festivities. >> reporter: this is the day when the modern monarchy is mixed with tradition.

it was prince charles' idea to have a river pa jenty to commemorate his mother's 60 years on the throne. some 360 years ago river pageants were held for great royal events. this certainly was that. a thousand boats raging from big boats to kayaks to river boats and everything in between. >> i'm here with my three children having fun. we try to make the most of it. >> reporter: the idea was to demonstrate britain's rich maritime history. there were boats that took part in the rescue mission to rescue allied sealediers during world war ii. there was even one boat that took part in queen victoria's diamond jubilee back in 1897. the queen herself travelled on a barge alongside her husband prince philip, her son prince charles and of course prince william and kate.

been crowned. sheanced a question about transgender contestants. she said it would be fair for a man who became a woman to be named miss universe. and now here's an early look at how wall street will kick off the day. the dow kicked off the day at 12,118 after nosediving 274. taking a look at overseas trading the morning in tokyo the nikkei sank 144 points while hong kong the hang sang sank a whopping 372. the first full week of june is already off to a rough start. overseas this morning, the broader tokyo market fell to a 28-year low as investors worry about a trifecta of economic fears, a potential eurozone break-up, a u.s. economic relapse, and a sharp slowdown in china. on friday news the economic economy added only 69,000 jobs

in may whieped out all the gains for the year. that dismal jobs report pushed oil to fresh two-year lows. looking ahead fed chair ben bernanke delivering his economic outlook on thursday. also this week investors will gauge the strength of the economy from fresh factory data and the fed's beige book report. "the new york times" reports baker of america alleges bang executives knew about mounting losses at merrill lynch but failed to inform them before they approved the $50 million purchase back in 2008. george zimmerman surrendered to police in sanford, florida, yesterday afternoon. a judge revoked his bond saying zimmerman and his wife misled the court about their finances. in his initial bond hearing in april, zimmerman said his family was broke. prosecutors later argued that zimmerman had the fact that he raised $135,000 in a defense fund. an attorney for the family says the issue questions zimmerman's credibility. zimmerman's lawyer plans to ask for a new hearing. >> you look at the statute, i think he is still entitled to a bond. however, having put something in front of the judge that the judge relied on that may not have been fully true is going to cause a concern. he's going to have to address that with the courts. >> zimmerman claims that he shot trayvon martin in self-defense. he's charged with second-degree murder. today metro begins its countdown to a new service it says it will make thousands of commuters' trips to and from
